Hi all. I know there are few previous threads about it but I'm hoping there a people who can comment today. My period started 14 days a go and finished as usual but yesterday, like the title says, I noticed bright red blood yesterday! Light but lasted a few hrs and was gone. The same happened today. I will obviously see doc when I can get appointment but I wondered if anyone has experience of this? I've just turned 40 and not on any meds/pills. Thank u xx

Have you had your Covid vaccine recently? Loads of MNers have noticed a change in their cycle after having it.

Hi Mamette. I had the AZ vaccine over 6 weeks a go so don't think it's that x

I have spotting between periods.
I had my tubes tied about 3 years ago and my periods have been messed up since. I have periods every other month but always spotting about a week or two before I'm due on. I'm convinced I'm slowly going into premenopause. I'm only 39.

It was the first thing that sprang to mind as I had just seen a long thread about it.

I’m 45 and a few years ago I had spotting in the middle of my cycle, it happened for several months in a row and my gp sent me to have an ultrasound to check for any abnormalities (fibroids etc) but there weren’t any. So the gp just sent me away saying it was nothing serious.

I didn’t want to have 2 episodes of bleeding every month so I went to a private women’s health clinic (I’m not in the U.K.) and the doctor there said I was potentially peri-menopause or it could just be an irregular cycle. She prescribed me the pill (Yaz) and I’ve been on that for the last 3 years or so.

In my case I also had problems with really awful PMS as well though so the pill was to help with that too.

Hope you can get to the bottom of it OP.

Hi! I am going through the same thing and through a tv ultrasound, a polyp was found that is probably causing all this. Polyps are usually harmless but it's still annoying and it creates anxiety even going to the toilet!
