to think that JML must use subliminal "Derren Brown" type messages in their advertising

Why else would I be in the possession of :-

  • A Pedegg
  • Eyebrow/Bikini trimmer (super deluxe model with a light on)
  • Magic Eraser
  • Magic Duster (mitten thing)
  • Magic Broom
  • Folding Step
  • A one size fits all ironing board cover (that doesn?t fit)
  • Toaster pockets

I?m sure I have more but they lie forgotten in the back of cupboards
I?m not usually an impulsive buyer and can look through Betterware & Lakeland Catalogues without feeling the slightest inkling to purchase. However, I find myself drawn towards the JML shrine in supermarkets and just can?t seem to stop myself????????.Am I alone?

PMSL
You are so right

BitterAndTwistedChoreDodger · 03/04/2010 16:14

Why on earth would you need a light on a bikini trimmer? I do admit to owning toastabags though

pinkycheesy · 03/04/2010 16:18

Toastabags are FAB!!!! I use mine at least twice a week...mmmm...cheese-and-bacon sarnies...

muggglewump · 03/04/2010 16:18

I've got the beauty wand
Supermop
Ped egg
Toaster bags.

I love all that stuff, I'd buy more if I wasn't so skint and had somewhere to put it.

I did order one of those pineapple cutters that I've been coveting, but from Amazon not JML

differentID · 03/04/2010 16:21

See, I can resist the lure of JML, but not lakeland.

Although we did buy the Magic Eraser and it is a brilliant product.

Need another one as we've destroyed/used the other one.

LivedinLooks · 03/04/2010 16:27

Agree the magic eraser actually works.

Anybody tried the halogen cooker? Tempted, sorely tempted.

BitterAndTwistedChoreDodger · 03/04/2010 16:29

Oh, and I did have that mop that kind of folded in half. It was rubbish

lou33 · 03/04/2010 16:35

i want a snuggie, is that by jml?

TheCrackFox · 03/04/2010 16:36

I have the:

Magic Eraser - it is very good

Carpet cleaning kit - shite

Magic carpet (to stop you trailing dirt in the house) - average

Cable tidy -average

Vac Pack (to store clothes) - very good

Actually, I had no idea I was such a JML junkie.

TrillianAstra · 03/04/2010 16:38

What does the magic eraser erase?

Shaz10 · 03/04/2010 16:38

The magic eraser is brill!

Also love the big green mitten you use to dust things.

SawneyBeane · 03/04/2010 16:40

Everything, Trillion, everything!

Pretty sure it could erase your past if you got a bit too enthusiastic.

sunchild77 · 03/04/2010 16:42

Dont ever buy the nicer-dicer-slicer thing... Nearly cut dd's fingers off!!

BertieBotts · 03/04/2010 16:48

Is the beauty wand/eyebrow trimmer thing any good?

ImSoNotTelling · 03/04/2010 16:52

When pg with DD2 I stood in a trance in robert dyas looking at the JML advert telly for ages and came away the proud owner of a bobble-off.

It is shit.

I aslo own a special brush thing that you're supposed to be able to clean the windows with

LivedinLooks · 03/04/2010 16:55

Glad I am not alone. We should start a support group.

I just wait a few months until the stuff turns up in my local pound shop

I sometimes watch QVC and other shopping channels. They are mesmerising.

I find myself getting sucked in to the world of mineral makeup and power plate exercise machines, bizzare hair scrunchies and luminous cleaning products...

After watching an orange person with a french manicure extolling the amazing properties for about 15 minutes you really feel your life will not be complete without it.

I bought a light up, musical, foil christmas tree once. When the operator asked me if I wanted silver or gold I said 'eww not GOLD, that would be a tacky'

LivedinLooks · 03/04/2010 17:06

chegirlWILLbeserene You may be beyond help !

ImSoNotTelling · 03/04/2010 17:21

chegirl

Do you still have it? Does it come out every xmas?

morejuiceplease · 03/04/2010 17:25

I would love to have the entire range of JML stuff. How good would my life be then?!

(Actually probably not that good as my house would be filled with tat but it all looks so good)

ImSoNotTelling · 03/04/2010 17:29

I have always wanted to invent somethng that would be sold through JML and have its own advert on the telly in the shop

LivedinLooks · 03/04/2010 17:35

Do you think they get their goods from Dragons Den castoffs?

OP posts:
muggglewump · 03/04/2010 17:38

I've had the nowet wonderfoam before. Can't remember if it was JML or some other company.
Wondrous it wasn't, and if left the carpets drenched, and still filthy
So just wet foam really.

muggglewump · 03/04/2010 17:41

I tried a snuggie a couple of weeks ago, I convinced a slightly senile woman at work to let me have a try.
I didn't like the material so shan't be purchasing.
DD wants that hair putter up thingy that's been advertised on the telly. I said no but I bet she has it within a week

chegirlWILLbeserene · 03/04/2010 18:48

No it reached the end of its natural life some time ago.

I now have a much classier pink christmas tree.

Yes I am beyond help
