I'm really trying not to be too outing here so sorry if I end up drip feeding.

As in they massively overcharge customers and are not up front about prices, rely on vulnerable and naive people who will just pay the charges.
The ones who question will just get lied to.

It's how it's always been apparently, nobody who works there seems to care that much about what we do as long as they get paid.

Yes I would, I couldn’t work for a company that scams vulnerable individuals as it goes against all my ethics. I’ve quit jobs in the past for similar reasons.

Personally I wouldn't want to work there, but what you've described is a common business practice so I wouldn't be surprised to see it.

Absolutely I would. Having said that, though, I know that's a much more difficult decision than it sounds if you are the breadwinner.

The customers are paying for a service (which they do get) the prices are just massively bumped up and the charges aren't up front

I quit a job halfway through my 2nd day because it was kind of a scam. It was telesales but the script made it sound like we were calling from another company regarding their existing service and actually we weren't at all, we were trying to sell them ours. First day I realised what was up, second day an article in a paper mentioning the company unfavourably gave me the courage to walk out. I was only 18 though and no family to support.

I would get a new job first, I wouldn’t just leave - I’m assuming you can’t afford to be unemployed.

It’s easy for people online to tell you to make a stand but in reality it won’t make a difference - someone else will just fill your vacancy. So yes, I’d leave but make sure I had another job to go to.

It's been really getting to me.

The people there are so lovely and it's actually a really nice environment to work in.

I dont understand how it doesn't get to them, many have been working there years and years and years and it doesn't seem to affect them the way it's affected me after mere months.

What do you mean by pricing though?

Because if you are basing that PURELY on the cost of the service as you know it supplied directly you're not acccounting for any overheads plus profit (it's not a charity I assume?)

Yes I would, and did. I did telesales in the early 2000s selling cleaning products to companies. It basically involved tricking people into agreeing to a contract that hadn’t been properly explained, and would probably land them in trouble with their employers. I started on a Monday, walked out Friday lunchtime and never went back.
