If you need to get something off your chest, rant away here, no matter how big or small 😤

I'll start...

Washing machine broke last week, ordered a new one and it's been sat in the middle of my kitchen since money. Dh is ill with a bug and can't get out of bed to plumb it in for me. Washing pile is approximately 5ft 4inches tall (I know this because it's the same height as me) 😩 I just want a washing machine wahhhhhhhhhh!

Stuck in a one bedroom flat with myself, DP, DS and DDog. Literally tripping over each other. Can't afford to go privately rented so stuck on the council list waiting for a 2 bed house or a 2 bed flat that allows dogs. No lift so have to drag pram up and down stairs! 😤

Dishwasher leaks. Washing machine leaks. Sofabed I bought won’t fit or get up the stairs to my flat. I’ve gained a stone since Christmas and I’m another year older grrr

@GoosetheCat my friends in a similar position to you. 1 bed flat with her, her dh, 3yo and 6month old. The housing officer came out and measured the rooms and said because her living room is 2 foot bigger than her bedroom the flats classed as a 2 bedroom because the living room can be used as a second bedroom.. appalling.

I hope you find somewhere soon 🤞🏼

I need to rant about all the keyboard warriors on MN. There are plenty of posters who jump down other posters' throats at the slightest thing that they consider a misdemeanour. The way some people are treated is so nasty. Why? Just why?

It is ok to disagree on AIBU posts but the amount of vitriolic posts is shocking.

I'm fucking sick of doing the work of people who don't seem to know the basics of their own job.

I already have a job - if I could not do yours, yours and yours that'd be fucking marvellous. Seeing as I don't get four salaries.

6 months pregnant with very bad SPD and sciatica. Alone at home for 3 weeks with grumpy toddler whilst husband away with work. Vacuum cleaner exploded, can't afford a new one, spent last saturday in A&E with a huge nosebleed that didn't stop for 5 hours. Had to have my nose cauterized (WTF?!) Random drunk man shouted at me in the street and called me a bitch because I wouldn't let him use my mobile phone. Pffffffffffff

4 weeks since my serious bowel surgery. I am still using this Vac machine that is more temperamental then me. I am tired from lack off sleep and sick of having the appetite of a gnat.

I'm applying for a mortgage and the lender has just sent another email requesting further information. There have already been 3 previous emails asking for other bits, it's like they're going to down a checklist and asking for one bit at a time. Why can't I just send one lot of info and be done with! Each request requires me finding whatever they want, scanning it, emailing and posting and we still don't even know for sure if we can get the flippin mortgage with them!

I totally sympathise with the spd and sciatica. I had it with my daughters and it had me in tears some days. My leg would give way a lot towards the end and I just couldn't wait to give birth.

Sick of getting to work to find I have no work to actually do, so I have to twiddle my thumbs for 4 hours. The apprentice sleeps at their desk! Ridiculous. But there’s very few school hour jobs on my doorstep in my field 😭

It was my birthday yesterday. Despite sending my husband three links to options of a gift I would like, he didnt order anything claiming he would get it wrong. He ran out to asda the night before and picked up a few packets of sweets (think 5 for £1) even though I've been losing weight recently, a chocolate cake for 15 people (no party or anything planned and DC too young for cake) and the cheapest bunch of flowers that he took the wrapping off and dumped in a vase. He brought that to my attention later so I could sort them out properly. I always put thought into his gifts and I feel so neglected. He did get a nice card and one from DD (but judging that two moonpig deliveries came this week he's forgotten to get me anything for mother's day too).

OP - washing machines are very easy to instal if you’re just replacing an old one! You should be able to do it yourself - I’ve done them before and it takes a few minutes max.

Go to the launderette - a pile that big will take you days to clear and dry by domestic means

@Michaelbaubles I don't trust myself. I thought about it and was telling my mum this morning. She said "don't forget to take the screws out the back" 😬🙈 I had to good what she meant. Never heard of this.

@PlainSpeakingStraightTalking the last time I went to the launderette it cost me nearly 80 quid, and after spending over £400 on this machine I'm skint 😳

Lorraine Kelly makes my blood boil. She’s patronising, annoying and intrusive. Her irritating laugh drives me nuts. I never usually watch anything that she is on or appearing in but for 5 hellish minutes this morning while I was looking for the remote (DS had buried it under 500 wrestling figures) I had to suffer her...

Never again!

endless house things to fix:- fucking hate being an adult:

kitchen window doesnt open properly
slight leak under the sink
garden fence came down with the winds weeks back- bitch of a landlady next door taking her sweet time to sort it out
various mould to scrap off as shitty windows that drip with condensation
potential leak under the sink in the bathroom- bastard plumber was supposed to come back and reseal the sink
garage door paint peeling off
neighbours behind other neighbours tree overgrowing and we ned to speak with them on her behalf
guttering needs clearing

may be easier just to move at this point

Report
Whatsnewpussyhat · 27/03/2019 14:07

If you can't plumb it in yourself then pay someone to. It's a 10 minute job £40. Cost less than the launderette.

@BlackSatinDancer

Yes! I was just thinking the same thing, there have been some really awful responses on here recently

E.g

  1. The woman who asked for some new recipe ideas of simple recipes to teach her DS who is heading off to university....responses included 'buy him a bloody recipe book' 'why is he so lazy he can't cook already' etc

  2. the lady asking advice on how she should treat her new MIL on Mother's Day as fiancé is deployed....responses include 'she's not your mother, not your problem' 'your fiancé should've sorted it before he left' etc.

It seems every thread I open have scathing comments and people advising OP to cut people out of their lives, stop doing anything for anyone except yourself and generally treat people like shit. It never used to be like this on here (AIBU was always about 'tough love' but not every single topic)
