am just wondering , her morning programme seems to be full of frothy nonsense and camp guys working with her, no substance or anything worth watching

I wonder if she ever feels like she can't go back to doing anything real or interesting now, its as if cos she lost weight all she knows about now is hairstyles and twirly skirts

From wikipedia -

She turned down a university place to study English and Russian in favour of a job on the East Kilbride News,[4] her local newspaper, and then joined BBC Scotland as a researcher in 1983.[5] She moved to TV-am as an on-screen reporter covering Scottish news in 1984.[5

I can't stand her and her braying, vacuous bubblehead ways.

That’s really harsh op.

I don’t watch her programmes but she’s hugely popular with people like my mum who is housebound. She’s a comfy presence to some people.

Not everyone wants paxman for breakfast.

She’s made a great career being chatty and who she is. Good on her.

I thought she was awful until Fern Cotton took over for a week then she didn’t seem so bad.

She awful as a presenter. I don't know what she was like as a journalist but hopefully she didn't constantly repeat herself in print - "ooh, that's lovely, really, really lovely", "ooh, you're gawjus, just absolutely gawjus", "I love that, I do, I love that". Trump does the repetition thing too.

I know she's popular but she's just so twee. She needs to giggle less and hop off the fence a bit more.

Her programme is frothy and a bit nonsensical it is a morning magazine show if you want something a bit more serious Victoria Derbyshire is on

What a nasty post!

I was at school with Lorraine and you just knew she would make it no matter what path she chose. She worked as a cub reporter on the local paper so got into journalism the tough route. She worked really hard and is genuinely a lovely person. Still comes to school reunions!

Breakfast telly froth is her job and it's a job she does well. There's always the off switch if it's not your cup of tea.

She comes across as so fawning and insincere.

She's good at what she's paid to do, which is to be sycophantic to celebrities.

I think the last bit of reporting I remember her doing were OBs at Dunblane, which she handled really well and sensitively.

But Christ she is annoying to watch.

Wow what a mean post. If you don't like it don't bloody watch.

Is this what MN has come to looking at successful women and ripping them apart? Completely Ridiculous.

Oh and it's not my TV of choice I don't watch ITV generaly, but this is just personal and mean.

She has one of the cushiest jobs on tv! She certainly knows where the bodies are buried 😆

I really like her although I don't often. She's worked for it.
The sisterhood is pretty weak on here at times, innit?

Listen to the radio instead.
It’s not my cup of tea but she is hugely admired and been around forever - she must be doing something right.

I remember her reporting from Dunblane. She did a good job. I can't watch her show it's too twee and irritating but it's easy money for her I suppose.

The righteous are out early - what exactly is 'nasty' about this thread?Hmm

She's on telly therefore the public have a right to talk about her. If she doesn't like it she knows what to do.

I couldn't care less if anyone thinks I'm being nasty, I will discuss her all I want, as for the sisterhood comment....lame!!!!!

I wonder if she ever gets fed up with the level shes at now, sort of comfort tv for grannies, she seems like an intelligent woman who has experience at deeper issues and all the fawning she has to do must get on her nerves a bit

I dont watch Good morning Britain ( or whatever its called) as i dislike Piers morgan, but ds1 had it on the other morning and i was struck by how glam they all are on that show compared to the presenters on BBC! the girls on the Beeb always look nice enough and well dressed etc, but the ones on ITV just seem more polished. my only observation is they must earn a lot more money and have free make up or hairstyles all paid for or something like that, seemed more of an american format. I tend to watch the headlines if its on, then go over to the radio, much more pleasant experience!

I think the sisterhood etc comments are lame. So we've never to comment on or criticise any woman ever only because they're women? How is that going to help women? It would be detrimental to women for no women ever to be challenged about anything.
