AIBU?

The irony- Theresa May

It's quite ironic that the things TM accused JC of seem to be coming true for herself! Having dodgy 'friends' (DUP) and being alone and naked for Brexit for example.

Obviously she means AIBU to think that it's ironic

Yes possibly. Interesting that the things she said nastily seem to have come back to bite her!

So many conservative voters on here defending it. I just hope they aren't women, disabled, ever going to get sick, hoping to put their kids through a state education or looking to be defended by the police at any time.

I have to say, that as a non-Brit, we've spent the Friday laughing at the arrogance and sheer delusion of TM which so perfectly symbolises the attitude of the British ruling class and makes them detached from reality as it's been obvious in the negotiations with the EU so far. How to shoot yourself in the leg and call it a good shot.
With the negotiations about to start in earnest, she wants to create a coalition with people whose political and religious opinions would make Westboro Baptist Church liberal. Congratulations, Britain.
I think we will see the first hints when Dacre's filth starts publishing articles about bad abortions and how being gay can be fixed. They're always rather predictable when it comes to brainwashing the British public.

clandestino, I agree,

Although be assured that many of us in Britain think this whole thing is a car crash too.

Clandestine. If you have to jump on the usual band wagon of slagging off the Daily Mail, please do so using facts and not made up stories. They have never to my knowledge said anything about fixing gay people.

Clandestino please remember that there are a lot of British people who are completely anti TM, anti Tory and anti Brexit!

Please read my post. I'm talking about the future, when they will start making the coalition with the DUP more palatable to the British public because, inevitably, the Tories will have to make concessions. The DUP have no plan except for the bigotry of the highest grade.
DUP may look like a tiny weasel compared to the Tory bull but that weasel is holding the Tories by its balls right now.

I do remember. However, as a person from the outside yet involved in the British fuck-up as an EU citizen, I see Britain on its way to Brexit and voting to choose Tories yet again, despite all the shit they dragged Britain in. I am not sure why the British are so upset at the hard stance of the EU. It looks like Britain want to leave, yet they want the EU to cuddle them up and tell them it's going to be OK. If your husband tells you he wants to leave you because he found himself a better life, yet he's dragging his feet, would you lovingly console him and give him the time? Or would you be looking after your own interest and those of your children first and outmost?
To me it's the fact that Tories won again that makes me feel less compassionate thsn I would have before. They did a very good job at widening the Brexit camp.

You shouldn't generalise about "the British although you speak sense too.

You mean the speech about the coalition of chaos and supporting terrorists? Now she's leading it, for as long as her party lets her stay. Perhaps they're not sacking her yet because no-one else wants the poisoned chalice. The Tories have a well-earned reputation for being ruthless about disposing of leaders past their sell-by date, remember how they got rid of Margaret Thatcher? They're not doing it now.

Two years in a row a Tory leader has sold their country's interests down the river for personal advantage, ffs. Any other country would have its citizens on the streets in uproar. Not the apathetic Brits. As a nation we've got what we deserve.

I agree. But I don't like the "Congratulations Britain". I am a remainer and did not vote for TM even though I voted Tory in the two preceding general elections. I actually think congratulations Britain for not out and out voting for her and not giving her a working majority. I know it puts us in more of a mess. And I don't care because from this mess, hopefully one day there will be a better future than the one, TM was dictating and I was starting to feel as though we were in a dictatorship. She is a nasty woman and a narcissist and her narcissistic view of Britain was not one I signed up for. It has now been revealed that it was toxic inside no 10. I'm not surprised in the least.
