I'd say magnesium. Helps my sleep and makes me feel less anxious.

Magnesium makes you less anxious? I've never heard that before. Is that a usual result of taking it?

ZMA which has magnesium is fab for sleep. And yes magnesium flakes in bath make me feel so relaxed and I sleep brilliantly after

Second magnesium for anxiety. Also recommend zinc for PMT - helps with the production of progesterone apparently

Iron. For when I was anaemic due to heavy periods and endometriosis

Otherwise I'd say Pregnacare- as it made my vom bright yellow with morning sickness. Had to swap brands! Grin

Vitamin D

Magnesium helped with my migraines, I. Dry rarely get them now and also use magnesium spray on dp when he gets muscle spasms they really help.

Vitamin D as prior to realising I was deficient I was like a walking zombie with really achy bones I had no idea how run down I was feeling.

And I do take floradix as I am prone to anaemia it is kept me healthy in my pregnancy and my midwives are happy with my iron levels.

Large dose of vitamin c - about 2000mg and iron (spatone).

I have no energy without these two supplements. I have cfs/low energy on the best of days but I do feel better taking vitamins.

Vitamin D and folic acid.

My hair had been falling out since I got pregnant with DS who's now 4.
After repeatedly visiting the GP and having bloods done I was finally prescribed folic acid a few months ago and my hair stopped falling out within a few weeks! I was also prescribed vitamin D3 about a month ago and I can definitely feel the difference already.

I know it might sound a bit daft but I never ever realised that being deficient in some vitamins can have such a negative impact on your health and I can honestly say that I feel so much better these last few months after taking them.

Vitamin B12 got me out of a wheelchair and walking again, I had undiagnosed pernicious anaemia due to a missed coeliac diagnosis

Turned out I was classed as profoundly deficient for most vitamins and minerals

I always know when my folate levels drop as I get palpitations so I take a quality b vitamin (jarrow b rights)

vit D was so low I was in single figures , that and magnesium definitely help with my aches and pains

Another vote for magnesium and iron.
I vow never to take them iron tablets the GP gives you again.

Iron.

I have very low ferritin levels. A year of supplementation with ferrous sulphate did fuck all for me except give me horrible squits and ruin my toilet. 12 weeks of 6 x sachets a day of Spatone plus regular tins of oysters and black pudding three times a week has given me my energy back.

Vitamin D
Apparently we are unable to get enough form sunlight between October and April and it is difficult to get enough from food. This has helped me fight off the bugs and winter blues this year.

B12 helped me regain my sense of control - I was having panic attacks and memory loss and all sorts last summer. Took B12 and cannot believe how much better I feel. If its the placebo effect then long may it last!!

Also Iron tablets have helped reduce the pain of my heavy periods and taking one tablet a day prevents me from getting anaemic every 8 months or so!

Vitamin D, for sure. I was very achy a few years ago, feeling really old. I thought I might have fibromyalgia at one point. Turns out I was massively deficiant in Vitamin D, like many people.

Alive multivitamin energy formula - really did give me more energy but stopped because they were like horse pills. They are an American brand and have brought out a children's chewable version. As soon as the adult energy formula because chewable I am on it.

Just checked Amazon UK and they have the chewable formula in stock. Off to order them.

Vit D3. 5000 iu per day. Last cold was in 2012, started the night before heading 200 miles inside the Arctic Circle and it was the mother of all head colds.
Also 2016 first year I've not suffered with Winter blues. It takes at least 3 months to have effect though and no harm if you take it all year round. The site, "nat med" forums has plenty of info.

SpaTone, two sachets in lemon juice if feeling under par.

Vit B complex, felt so much more energetic and cheerful!

Not taken it for a while though as I got pregnant and am now breast feeding and didn't want to take it with pregnancy vitamins as they already contain B vitamins. Don't seem to give me as much of a boost as the plain b vitamin complex did though.

Weirdly vitamin D made no difference to me, I'm taking it on the recommendation of the midwife and health visitor though!

I'm on a high dose of thyroxin due to having my thyroid removed three years ago so have an autoimmune problem that flares up and when it does I'm achy anxious jittery exhausted and generally really run down.
I read a thread here a few weeks ago about vitamin d so I went out and bought that plus vitamin c plus I already take a calcium supplement and a multi vitamin without iron as have to avoid iron with the endocrine problem.
Could be placebo but I feel so much better than I was and I'm about three to four weeks into taking them.
I also have a fuzzy vitamin c every morning.
