I have just served bannanas and hot custard to the family as pudding. DH says I am weird and it should be served cold.

Members of the jury, am I being unreasonable?

I give the DC bananas and hot custard. Makes me feel like I've made an effort [hwink]

The beauty of it is that you can leave it to cool if you prefer it cold. It's a versatile pudding for all seasons Grin

I would say either way, but I prefer hot personally. My DC will eat hot or cold.

Well personally, i think custard is good cold or hot, but def not with banana, oh yuck crushed up caramalised biscuits and hot custard, now that is heaven [mmmmmm]

Either is fine, but can be a problem if you have someone who will only eat the custard cold, cos if you make it yourself its hot. Tinned might be the way to go in this situation although not as nice obv.

cookielove what are caramelised biscuits cos its sounds very yummy but I wouldn't know what to look for in the shop?

bruffin · 08/07/2011 18:24

Either, but we usually have cold because I can't be bothered to heat it up.

Report
RedHotPokers · 08/07/2011 18:24

Hot definitely.
It is a great disappointment to me that my DCs don't like bananas, as bananas and custard is one of my favourite desserts.

Yuk! Neither - it is the dessert of the devil! YABVVVU to even contemplate it. Now Banoffee Pie, on the other hand, is the afters of the angels

Cold from the fridge. REALLY cold.

It's only good hot if there's some sort of sponge pudding involved.
