11 weeks pregnant bleeding

Hi can anyone please give me any advice … I am 11 weeks and 5 days pregnant 3 days ago I had slight pink blood when I wiped not heavy at all. I totally panicked as I lost a baby previous to this one. So I phone midwife who said there’s nothing they can do I would need to go to a n e. So I did staff there were great and scanned me I was so shocked baby was ok! She told me just to go home and monitor this.

Next night 4am I woke up flooded with blood I rushed to the toilet and passed a huge clot about half the size of the palm of my hand I was so upset. I went back up to a n e where they took my bloods re scanned me again baby was ok ?! I was so pleased but still so worried as I have been given no explanation of why I would be bleeding . So the following I day u bled red blood all day not heavy with some mild cramping now is Thursday im bleeding brown blood. Just so worried I can’t eat or sleep. I have my 12 week scan on Tuesday I am hoping they can give me some advice. Iv just been told unless i am in really bad pain or soaking through a pad every hour I don’t need to go back to a n e. I feel so confused and worried like I just can’t get excited any more . Has anyone had anything like this before? X

The fact that it's changed from red blood to brown blood is good - it's not fresh blood any more, so will probably stop altogether soon.

Also, bleeding doesn't mean there's a problem - there are non-sinister reasons why it can happen too. Subchorionic hemorrhage is one of the most common causes in the first trimester and it's just to do with membranes separating - it doesn't put either baby or you at risk.

I'm no expert on this, by the way - but the experts have checked you twice and say everything's ok, so trust them on that

See when I called the ward that seen me to ask for my blood results they said all ok… like blood count hormone level was all as should be. She also mentioned that it could be a Subchorionic hemorrhage, but as I passed the clot they may not be able too see this now on a scan. Honest it’s just so terrifying. I feel so poorly too because of the constant worry.

I’m back at work today hopefully this takes my mind off it until Tuesday. Thanks for your reply

My mum had similar OP, she had gushing blood at 12 weeks and was sure it was all over but it was a haematoma

I've had two miscarriages and have 2dc, with my dc I had bleeding up until 15 and 20 weeeks and all was fine.

I've had the same. Some spotting, scanned, everything was fine and then a few days later it literally was flowing onto the floor with clots. I'm really not over exaggerating when I say my whole bathroom floor was covered in blood. Immediately went for a scan absolutely sure that I'd lost the baby as I couldn't imagine how it was possible that it had survived that....

I have had a miscarriage, and was very worried with my next pregnancy. I bled in my next pregnancy - much more than I did with my miscarriage - and that baby is now a healthy 24 year old, so the worst doesn’t always happen.

So today I decided in a privet scan … it’s my partners birthday tomorrow and didn’t want to dampen the mood any more as it’s written all over my face I’m worried . They said baby fine looks healthy measuring 12w 3 d. Said they couldn’t see any cause of the bleeding and no signs of bleeding around baby etc . Now once again Iv just woke up went to the toilet to a lot more red blood ! I’m so confused I just don’t know why or were this bleeding is from. I’m just worried in case lots of pain starts or a real heavy bleed. Thank you for your messages x

I had the same from 10-17 weeks it was a haematoma they think , no other explanation bathroom covered in bright red blood . Rest of pregnancy went fine and she’s lying beside me aged 3 right now .

So I had my 12 week scan yesterday… said I was 13 and 1. They noticed a slight patch on there of blood below the baby said hopefully the body just absorbs it.. so fingers crossed x

Aww congrats OP! I had bleeding until 20 and 15 weeks with my dc, it was very stressful and anxiety inducing but I took it one day at a time. Once you start feeling movement it willl feel easier x

I know this thread is a couple months old but I just wanted to check how things went and if the bleeding stopped?
I’ve got bleeding but only when I wake up in the morning with small clots then it clear the rest of the day. They saw baby with heartbeat and all they could tell me was there was a bit more bleeding in there that had to come out. I should have asked more questions but my mind went blank.

Hi all, I’ve had the exact same thing happen to me, I’ve been bleeding heavy since I was 6 weeks pregnant. I’ve had 5 scans so far and the baby is absolutely fine, at every scan I’ve been convinced I’ve lost it. I’ve been bleeding really heavily weekly, where is gushes out with large clots. In-between the heavy loss I loose blood like I’m on a period. I’ve had two stays in hospital where the scans show no signs of haematoma, masses, bleeding or any abnormalities. I’ve also had my cervix checked and they said that was normal too. My hb is low so I’m on iron tablets also aspirin and progesterone suppositories. I’m constantly worried and confused feeling so tired and anxious. No one can give me any answers to why it’s happening. I’m under consultant care and do feel like I’m being looked after. It’s nice to read on here that I’m not the only one this has/is happening to. I’m feeling like it’s never going to stop. I’m currently 13w3d 3rd pregnancy.
