What's your 9 year old girl reading?

Looking to buy a book for my friends daughter.
I know she has all the David Walliams books.
So looking for ideas please as my children are now adults

I recently bought A Pinch of Magic by Michelle Harrison, and Pages & Co. - Tilly & the Bookwanderers by Anna James. They both went down really well with the 10 year old birthday girl.

My DD and all her friends seem to be reading The Ickabog at the moment (Yr5, 9-10year olds)

My 8yo DD is working her way through the Roman Mysteries boxset.

My dd is 10 she is reading The Night Bus Hero by Onjali Q. Rauf. Which is very good.
She also really enjoyed The Parent Agency by David Baddiel.

DD loved the Tom Gates books at that age.

Lucy Worsley's historical novels for kids?? My ten year old is really getting into them.

Mine liked Hetty Feather books at that age.

My daughter is 8 and reading Dork Diaries at the moment.

Mine likes the series of unfortunate events books, Enid Blyton and most Roald Dahl.

If they’re into animals the cat warriors books have been very popular at school.

My DDs have enjoyed them all

Also my dd read the lottie diary by Jacqueline Wilson recently which she liked.

I presume you can still buy them; I absolutely LOVED the sweet valley high books at that age. Read them consistently!

Mine is 9 and half and us enjoying the girl who speaks bear (book 1) and the house with chicken legs (book 2)

What Bargainchunter said, plus the Tiffany Aching series by Pratchett, Narnia, Warrior Cats, also one called the House at the edge of Magic which I think will be the first of a series.

My daughter loves the Fudge series by Judy Blume. She also likes Witch Wars, Worst Witch and Harriet Muncaster's books.

My 9 year old daughter enjoys dork diaries, ruby parker, girls who vlog, wimpy kid, joke books, twisted tales,
Some of her friends are really into reading Harry Potter too.

Mine loved the Scarlet & Ivy books, Tom Gates, Diary of a Wimpy Kid, A Series of Unfortunate Events & Percy Jackson.
