Walking sandals/ shoes advice

I'm quite in to walking in the countryside / mountains and always wear my walking boots but what with the weather getting really warm this week I wondered what people think of alternatives? Any recommendations?

I’ve a pair of old Merrell lightweight walking shoes which are amazing - but I can’t see anything similar on their site. Also a pair of Regatta walking sandals - cheap, sturdy and comfy!

Thank you, I think I will take a look!

I hike a lot. And even though I always own a pair of Merrell sandals, when I am hiking, I always wear my hiking boots, you can end up in a bog or a stream in any weather and I prefer the support and stability of my hiking boots.

If you’re talking proper rural walks I’d never wear sandals- too many ticks / nettles / etc about for my liking!

Thanks both, I tbink I will stick to my boots then!
I may get a pair of walking shoes for less hilly walks.
