Shit. My wedding dress is like Danielle Lloyd's and its getting slated online

It's too late to change my dress and everyone online is commenting that the style is outdated and tacky. I was sent the link from my sister and its the daily mail (so won't link) but if no ones seen it, it's a sweetheart neckline mermaid tail dress. It's almost identical to mine.

The fact I'm not a fan of hers makes it worse!!

I don't know why I'm posting. Nowt I can do about now but.... Waaaaahhhh

Give me a virtual slap and remind me I love the dress and it's not outdated, it's fun and pretty and there are bigger problems in the world Confused

Oh it's beautiful and I'm sure you'll look amazing in it! I can't wear fishtail because of my figure but those that can look fabulous.

Does it suit you?

Wedding dresses become classic not outdated

Relax, lady! Your wedding photos will not be put to the ferocious Daily Mail comments section jury. Put Danielle Lloyd out of your mind and enjoy your frock when the day comes.

Why on earth would you even consider changing it. You chose it. You love it.

I doubt anyone at your wedding will even know some z list celeb had the same one

Dont give it another thought

I just googled it, it's a beautiful dress and I'm sure you look lovely in yours.
You chose the dress because you love it, so just remember that.

It’s lovely, other than the visible flesh coloured modesty panel! Stuff everyone else, if you like it, anyway.

Don't panic it's the mail celebs will be slated no matter what they wear. I'm sure you'll be beautiful and you won't care on the day ad you'll be having the best time. My friend wore a dress very similar and she looked beautiful. Im sure it suits you as you chose it for a reason.

I don’t know who she is but the dress is fine, you’ll look great. I’ve never heard anyone at a wedding critique the style of the dress.

Yep I just googled it and I love it. I would have worn something similar if I wasn’t the wrong side of 40 😁

She looks lovely. I'd never consider the dress because I'd be arse over tit walking in it but it looks great.

It's not really a "play it safe" dress which is why it's getting negative as well as positive opinions. But that's fine! If YOU like it then that's all that matters. Nobody else has got to wear it. Plus the DM crowd are just awful, awful people in the main. I certainly didn't choose my wedding dress because I thought Dave from Barnet would like it.

Everything gets slated on line. When do you ever hear people posting
“She looks like she’s made the right life choices here, and although her personality is obviously much more important, I couldn’t help noticing how pretty her frock was”

Celebrities aren’t allowed to just be them selves and make choices that suit them remember! They are meant to be subjects of mean spirited scrutiny.

Your wedding day won’t be in the public eye, youll be surrounded by love.
Enjoy your dress and your day.

I know how pathetic I'm being. It just made me feel a bit sick when someone commented she wore a dress like a "toilet roll holder" Blush and that is is "horrendous"

I do love the dress and it made me feel amazing (although I am a bit concerned about sitting comfortably and going to the toilet!)

It suits my figure (bug bust and hips with small waist. I'm a size 14) and everyone in the shop said it was made for me.

I said at the time it's the type of dress you either love or hate... But it's hard to read people slating it!!

Thanks for reassuring my silly arse.

@Mermaiddress the thing is everyone is going to hate at least 50% of dress styles aren't they, just everyones taste is different, I like it on her but wouldn't wear myself as don't have the figure.

I have no idea who Danielle Lloyd is but I googled it and I think the dress is quite nice?? I wouldn’t choose it myself but it suits her (whoever she is) and the top is beautiful. The husband wearing trainers on the other hand...

I can’t stand the woman but she looked lovely in her dress and genuinely happy.

As long as you don’t have similar day glo horse dentures you will look beautiful too.

Oh I like it! Much nicer on her than her first one but I think her hair helps. It's a lovely dress and I'm sure you'll look absolutely amazing!

will your bride/groom be wearing shades during the ceremony like Mr Danielle did? Grin

Report
LynetteScavo · 24/04/2019 19:40

A relative of a friend got married last week and had a very similar dress. The crest of their wedding was very in trend, so I'm guessing the dress is too.

It doesn't matter if other people don't like it; they're not wearing it.

I personally wouldn't wear it but Iv seen a lot worse dresses than that!

You will look great so forget about everything else ok!
