Tell us about your blenders

Hi, everyone,

Our Reviews Team is putting together a new reviews page for blenders for next year and they wanted to ask for Mumsnetters' wisdom on which models would be best to research, test and review.

Do you have a blender that you really rate highly? Or are there any particular features or plus points that you looked out for when buying one that you think we should include in our buyer's guide with the piece? Let us know your thoughts here.

I have Kenwood pro that comes with blender. I haven't used the blender bit since investing in a nutribullet.
Nutribullet is brilliant, far better than the jug blender.
I also have a stick blender, fir use if I need something blended in a pan

Magimix, big heavy duty base, huge glass blender jug, and I got the smoothie set for it, that has 2 other size blender attachments and a small glass cup thing for nuts and spices.

I love it.

Kmix for smoothies and a bamix for everything else!!

The bamix is so worth the money, does so much more than a stick blender!

Warning blender.

Commercial grade, no nonsense, no safety cutouts or anything like that, but 15+ years old and still works perfectly.

Another nod for the vitamix , and as a stick blender also have a Bamix.

I have a nutribullet, but I miss my stick blender for blending secret veg pasta sauces. I would like a blender that grates cheese, chops fruit/ nuts/ onions as well as having a stick blender option. I bought a cheap one that did this and it was awful but would love a decent one.

Magimix food processor - excellent. Had it for donkeys years and it doesn’t put a foot wrong. Can handle big chunks with ease and isn’t fiddly to clean.

Nutribullet for liquidising - Quick, easy to clean, compact on the worktop.

Exactly the same! The Magimix motor is incredibly powerful and robust.

I bought my first one when they came out in the late seventies and the current one in 2000 and it's still going strong ...very strong!

I use nutribullet which I love but I don’t think it’s strong enough or big enough for the amount of blends I want to make (trying to do a juice/blend detox).

I have a Magimix food processor, Vitamix blender and a Bamix stick blender. All fantastic.

A good blender would be a godsend for anyone who wants to make their own non dairy milk alternatives or flour from chick peas etc. Would save a fortune.

Thanks everyone, for all your suggestions. They've been really helpful. We're going to move this thread over to the weaning topic for a day or two and see if any of the mums doing lots of purees have any good recommendations, too.

I have an aldi blender and a sainsburys basics hand blender. My favourite feature is thay they cost less than £10 each!
