It's the eyes in the first picture that shout pug to me. Proper cheeky chap eyes.

They are a little similar to cavalier eyes but the colouring so pug like

Lsnowe · 18/06/2018 21:11

I think a "jug"- jack Russel x pug

springmachine · 18/06/2018 21:12

You could cross two breeds of dogs at the same time though and the puppies end up totally different between the 4 parents.
It's just the way with mixing.
Sometimes the father comes through more sometimes the mother.

Cockerpoos sometimes don't look like cockers and sometimes don't resemble poodles

furandchandeliers · 18/06/2018 21:13

He looks like he's going to be big though? He's twice the size if my pugs and he's a puppy, and bigger than my frenchies and they're fully grown!

Pug x beagle.

Curly tail?

Louislovesmud · 18/06/2018 21:14

Same - it's the eyes and forehead.

I used to volunteer at a dog rescue for years and the one sure thing was that mixes come in all shapes and sizes, so it could be impossible to tell what types had been bred sometimes. Either way... he's gorgeous! Grin

scantilylace · 18/06/2018 21:18

This is my friend's pug x beagle. He's about the size of a small collie... so definitely not a wee dog!

Difficult to tell size/age but my first thought was Mastiff possibly English mastiff or some kind of Ridgeback cross. Does he actually have a ridge?

matchingpjs · 18/06/2018 21:18

he's a staffie cross

springmachine · 18/06/2018 21:19

I know what you mean about the size.

They say go by the paws!

Are they massive?

If only you knew roughly how old he is.

He could be 12 weeks old and turn into a giant Grin

Judashascomeintosomemoney · 18/06/2018 21:19

English mastiff puppy

springmachine · 18/06/2018 21:20

He's so adorable

Is he anywhere near Hertfordshire and does he have any brothers or sisters ? Halo

Judashascomeintosomemoney · 18/06/2018 21:20

Sorry I meant mastiff cross that is.

WeAllHaveWings · 18/06/2018 21:22

Boxer lab mix - boxador (or some similarly silly name)

CatchingBabies · 18/06/2018 21:23

Looks like an English mastiff to me, way too big to be a pug cross as is clearly a puppy.

DumbledoresApprentice · 18/06/2018 21:24

I also think pug/beagle. Looks very similar to this one.

YourVagesty · 18/06/2018 21:24

Have you just adopted him OP? I had a wisdom panel done on my dog (60 pound from Pets at Home) to determine once and for all, his breed. It's easy and accurate so i'd highly recommend it. Ddog got a nice certificate too Grin

Kezzabeeboo · 18/06/2018 21:25

He looks quite like a puggle or juggle.

Thegirlinthefireplace · 18/06/2018 21:26

Looks like a public to me

Thegirlinthefireplace · 18/06/2018 21:27

Ffs puggle

Frenchiemamax · 18/06/2018 21:28

My first though it also pug beagle

ItsNachoCheese · 18/06/2018 21:29

Bullmastiff/rotty maybe?

3luckystars · 18/06/2018 21:30

There is definitely a beagle in there.

I would say a beagle mixed with a mastiff?
