OMG!

I know it's educational but please - 'can you see your poo Pippin?' - it beggars belief!

Hardly appropriate lunchtime viewing!

I love the sewage episode! It was the first one I saw and I was simply stunned that they were bradcasting a children's programme all about poo.

Simply superb!

Now I know why ds raves about this programme, which he sees at school and I have so far managed to avoid. Blech.

no, i'm in shock over this one too. I love Come Outside, but ds running in shouting come and see pippin's poo! was a bit much for me.

Well, if those things were not interesting I guess the French wouldn't be organising tours around the Paris sewage and charging for them

Oh leave it alone, its a brilliant programme and both dd's love it, especially that one. As dd1 says "everyone poos mummy, even god and Mrs E (her teacher)"

This episode is a legend. I've told people about it before and they didn't believe me. I was on the phone to dh at the time and nearly offered to tape it for him! Great stuff!

Kids ask about poo - it makes sense to answer their questions in a way that just makes it a matter of fact part of life rather than relegating it to (literally) toilet humour.

ds does now know all about sewage, as he helpfully filled me in on the bits I missed. So I can tick that one off the list!

I do love this programme, it's my favourite of all, don't know how this episode had passed me by. DH spoils it somewhat by saying things like 'you never see her getting air traffic clearance' though.

pmsl...............dp sat with me and dd1 this morning and said OMG I bet they'll be posting about this on mumsnet later.........how right he was.

Also said isnt it strange that everyone knows Aunty and she is let in to areas that no one else is allowed "seeing as its you aunty".

He also comments that she's not realy flying that plane etc etc etc.

I detest Come Outside.

The one where she chases off the fox. Surely anyone can see that the fox just isn't there.

Can't bear to think about Lynda Baron and poo, far too intimate!

Agree it has educational value but it's the 'can you see your poo Pippin?' and the fact that we have to watch a big turd being flushed down the loo!

I know it's normal but I don't want to see it over my cheese butties!!!

BTW - I do quite like the programme though - I love it when they go to factories and show you how they put the stripes in toothpaste etc and the one about the post where they follow Auntie Mabel's letter is quite good (except that she goes with them all the way back to Dora's house rendering the letter pointless!).

Where else are you going to find a programme all about poo?? It's marvellous! I love the Come Outside episode where they find out about carrots. Years ago on ?Playdays they used to show a film of how mattresses are made - my children loved to see that one.

I quite enjoyed that episode of Come Outside and d1 finds it fascinating to see what happens to the poo....
but I couldn't believe that anyone would put DOG poo down their toilet. It makes me feel ill just thinking about it.
But given the other choice, which would be seeing Aunties poo in the toilet, I guess the producers went for the better option there!

We used tpo put dog poo down the toilet. We'd clear up after our dog in the garden using a spade and flush it away.

My dd1 loved this episode too - she was fascinated. I just can't get my head around Nurse Gladys Emmanuel (from Open All Hours fame)
doing this kids programme.....
