who makes nice high heels that are easy to walk in?

Someone mentioned Stuart Weitzman as being easy to walk in. Any others I should try? I don't want to go into the Jimmy Choo price bracket though.

no one, they are extremly painful for all those who do not take the hours and hours and hours training their feet to think that posistion is comfortable. But i am bitter and twisted and live in flats good luck in your search

unless you've been wearing them since you were 14 I'm not sure you have much hope

only ones that are tolerable to us non heel tolerating folk are footgloves I find

Wedges give you height without hurting too bad ime. But maybe not what you're after.

Clarks again. Try looking for chunky heels for support and ones where the centre of the heel is below the centre of your heel IYSWIM! Also if there is a strap over the front of your foot, it keeps your foot from sliding forwars making it more comfortable.

Thus speaks someone who has only been wearing heels for 5 months, and now wears them all day for work!

I did buy some clarks actually which I wore one day from 2:30pm to around 7pm, and that's a record for me.
I can't find them on their site :S

thanks guys. I've got some fairly high wedges from Clarks that I could wear all day so not sure why I didn't think of them in the first place . I'm glad they got a few votes as I'm sure they'll be cheaper than the Stuart Weitzmans!

Hush Puppies. I have these and have had lots of compliments. I don't do heels. I have dodgy ankles. But I walked 10min down road to restaurant in these and back on first outing. They have squashy insoles.

Platforms are really easy to walk in and are actually comfy it is the raised front I think.

I think it depends on the height of the heel!

Fairly slim heels, 'normal' shaped heels are OK IMO if they don't go above 2.5". That's not very high but I can wear that height all day.

Look on Camper and Jones the bootmaker as they do good high heels and label their heel heights online!

I agree wedgies. Basically the wider the heel the more comfy. Stilettos are always uncomfy, and the more strappy the worse. I've found that more expensive ones are more stable generally - I had some Russell and Bromley stilettos that were OK, also because they covered the whole front of the foot and had an ankle strap, but they were hardly hush puppy comfy. I could balance easily and felt safe, which was better than nothing

I started wearing heels about ten years ago, my first pair were nine west kitten heel mules, I wore them until they fell apart.

I can wear anything now, but tend to wear wedges, love my Fly wedges, I think they are called Lol.

So even if you never wear heels it is possible to learn.

camper do the comfiest shoes I've ever worn, office also have some mid height heels that aren't too painful

yeah, i'm only five two but i just never bother with a heel more than 2.5 inches as i'd be miserable after the first hour. i feel a bit taller and glamorous in a small heel. wouldn't want to be falling over and rubbing my heels and making an 'im in pain face'. make up rendered pointless when making the i'm in pain face.

I prefer high heels that have some support around the ankle area, this makes wearing them while out much more bearable.

Something like buyhighheelshoes.co.uk/la427-granny-leg-avenue-high-heel-shoes/ it might ahve 4 inch heels, but there is loads of support around the ankle and lower leg.

Although I have to admit, I much prefer mules, I get an extra 1-2 inches in height, which helps as I'm not the tallest of peeps

I think she started out as a chiropodist who was frustrated at the terrible shoes that would do damage to women's feet, so she re-trained as a shoe designer.

I have two pairs - both bought in Toast sales - and they are really, really comfortable. Was very surprised as I didn't think I'd ever wear heels again post-pregnancy only crocs

There are some in the sale for £150 on the Plumo site and Toast do them as well. Pricey, but they're gorgeous and beautiful.

cornsilk ... carvella? I have a pair that I have only managed to gingerly walk around the house in. Mind you, I did buy online without realising that they were 5 inch heels!
