Have seen it irl and it's actually more like a big blankety cardigan, very unstructured. Could fit big chunky knitwear underneath which I can't do with my current smart coats.

Anyone know when Monsoon sale normally starts? It has already been reduced from £130 to £100 so obviously not been very popular so far

MM - I like yours too but I already have far too many coats . I am justifying this one on the basis that it isn't a solid colour and thus unlike anything I have already.

Would wear with - anything really - skinny jeans and brown knee high boots, black skinny trousers and black ankle boots, leggings and boots. I also have a lovely TODS teal handbag which hasn't seen much use which I think could work well with it.

The code doesn't work but think I am going to do as Dexter suggested and buy it now and hold on a bit to see if it does go into the sales.

I bought this coat & love it. Never usually buy from La Redoute but I've been searching for boiled wool outer wear & this looks much dearer than it was. In the sale now too I think. it looks a bit like the one you linked to?

Re zip top ~ I rather like the sleeves but admit they are a bit Crystal Carrington.

Yes I remember the zip top hunt - I think I prefer the Oasis one actually. M&S were doing a v similar top without the zips but with those sleeves in their ltd collection a few months back but I sent it back as the sleeves were just a bit too full on for me and DH said it looked a bit

I have a code for Monsoon for 25% off which runs until the 7th Dec. Just enter MON25 at the checkout.

I like the cocoon shape and the colours but not keen on the dip-dye pattern.

BTW Eshermummy... A week or so ago you were trying to help me find a top that I'd seen on tv. I found it! I wandered into M&S and there it was. The pink colour is not as nice in RL as it looked on tv so didn't buy one but spotted it in grey online which I do like and thought I'd show you as I remember you saying you had a bit of a penchant for superfluous zips.
