love the second one,. but it all depends on how it looks on you, with the correct underwear etc.
dont think much of the first one.

1st one isn't great. 2nd is better, nice cut.

I do like the second one but I wouldn't spent that much on a dress.

1st one - no no no

I like both of them, but then I love bright colours. The second one though... how many children do I have to sell?

(OK, I didn't actually look at the price ).

Still a beautiful dress though.

The second one is STUNNING!

Maybe my morals are suspect, but worth the money, imo, if the quality of material and cut is good.

man, 4k for a dress is just insane. id have to shell out that much for a security team to surround me and repel snotty children and stuff

i get your point... and that youre hormonal... but even i, a mad spendaholic, was aghast at those prices!!

I'd think you could get them both for a LOT less money.

Some things are worth £3k, those dresses, imo, are NOT

Lovely if ££££First one beautiful with flat jewelled sandals if you suit the colours

I like the second one, the first is a bit dull. It would not turn my head if you walked past me in it.

teh Black one is beautious! A real head turner. the price however is a real stomach turner . Enjoy it if you can afford it

Thanks Amazing. I actually did feel really sh*t after that other thread.

For the record, I think those dresses are lovely but tres overpriced. And thank you for saying that you liked mine. Just needed some validation after 3 pregnancies in 3 years and spending my life in a seemingly endless array of jeans and Primark t-shirts.

looks like you have to be 12 foot tall to wear them!

I just sorted by price on the Net-A-Porter website. Those are the two most expensive dresses out of the entire collection of 250. Its hard to beleive that is chance. Have you just chosen those two because (a) you think expensive equals style or (b) you wished to start this thread to provoke a reaction?

There are some lovely dresses on that site if you don't just go for the two most expensive.

I like the second one a lot more than the first. Not £4K's worth of like, mind you. First is a bit Abigail's Party.

artichokes · 14/07/2008 18:38

I am afraid that I don't much like either of them.

The second one looks a bit naff and like a US prom dress. The first is just not nice. If I was going to spend that amount of money on a dress I would want something that would be a timetless classic, that would transcend seasons and be almost an heirloom.

What kind of occassion are you buying for?

Ist one - Hideous!
2nd one - Nice, but doesn't look as good as the price tag suggests.

Flamesparrow · 14/07/2008 18:31

2nd is stunning, first is not

I didn't look at the prices so don't care about lifestyle or morals But you know:"Oooooooooooh you should be donating it to charity, don't you know about the poor children in Africa, some of us are having to walk 12 miles a minute through snow to get coal to eat for the day...."
