I have ben using La Roche-Posay Anthelios Shaka Fluid Invisible SPF50+ on clean face in the mornings, but I don't like it anymore and it finished today.

On top I apply Heliocare Colour Gel Cream Brown SPF50 50 and I like it but I don't know if have only this on my face is enough for sun protection.

What do you use? Can you recommend something for me to use instead of La Roche Posay?

Pafmo, try the Geek and Gorgeous C-glow, and buy some empty baby bottles with it when you put in the order. Very similar to the Vichy (I prefer it) and it doesn't go off as quick (I keep the large bottle in the fridge but even the smaller bottles are the same amount as Vichy and don't oxidise before you finish it). Think there's an Italian stockist as I somehow ended up there once (you were in Italy, right?).

@9thFloorNightmare I see you got Garnier. I was going to say that. I like both the cream and the one like LRP. It save you money too which is always a bonus.

Ah, Pafmo, despite the name changes I always somehow recognize you though, you came in all that time ago with the recommendation of Olay BHA toner that your daughter used (now discontinued, I think). Frezyderm is fab too but for whatever reason I can't buy it for under €30 atm and that's double what I used to pay for it. I might go looking for it again come summer as it's really good when you're exposed to a bit more sun.

Yes! That toner was amazing! (As was the Vichy vit C that I still love dearly but can't justify spending on a tiny bottle that always turns to pongy orange water before I finish it!)

(Apols OP for hijack!)

I agree with some of the previous posters.the Garnier Ambre Solaire one is excellent. No bobbling, great under make up (or no make up) and no watery irritated eyes.

I always put a specialist spf on my face daily and so have tried a lot and can't believe how good this is for the price.

I get the Ambre Solaire face fluid, I swear it’s identical to La Roche posay but half the price

Biore when I can get it but tbh, the Garnier spf50 for the face is fabulous and about a fiver.
@botemp I still have half a tube of Frezyderm. Remember that? Still like it as a primer, though tbh I've more or less ditched primer (and many usernames) since those first fabulous skincare threads!

I use Ultrasun.

As long as you're using enough of the Heliocare you really shouldn't need an additional layer of SPF as it's an SPF product with some tint (as opposed to a makeup product with added SPF).

Bundler, my favourite sunscreen atm is Beauty of Joseon Relief Sun SPF50+. I just checked and it's completely cruelty free, no third party testing, etc. It's rare that cosmetically elegant ones from Asia are fully CF but this one is. Definitely an everyday 'commuter' sunscreen, not a bake in the hot sun type.

I either use the LRP one you've been using, Biore watery essence as recommended above or Eucerin Dry Touch Sun Gel-Cream which is really light and absorbs well.

I use Sun Bum and find it non-greasy and easy to apply! Good price too.

Following with interest to see if there's a highly rated cruelty-free recommendation!

I really like Biore watery essence. It's kind of like a serum texture so very light and you don't get the feeling you sometimes do with sunscreens on your face. It doesn't leave any white marks either.
