Gucci belt - matte or shiny?

So I know this isn’t to everyone’s taste but I have got a Gucci belt but I ordered two, one matte one shiny, and I am so stuck on which one to keep!! I have had such mixed opinions, the matte one looks more classy and would probably go with more but the shiny one definitely stands out more but I’m also worried if it would scratch more? But the shiny one was also only released last year.
I’m 29 if that makes any difference

Ah nice. I really like the shiny. But have just ordered the matte for comparison! But I’ll end up sending it back I bet.
Glad you love it. Ooh yes i defo want the tan one next as well. And I think that looks better in the matte.
You’ll wear them for years in my opinion.

Also where the shiny one came out not too long ago I think it seems fresher as you won’t see AS many people wearing it in my opinion

I went for the shiny in the end after much thought lol I asked loads of people in real life and majority vote was shiny! I think matte is better for every day wear but shiny does stand out more and is nice when you wanna dress up an outfit a bit more! However, I now want the tan one in matte

God there are some judges people on this thread ! The OP asked which SHE should choose.Not whether you like them, would wear them, are classy, chavvy etc etc. OP enjoy your lovely belt, whichever you chose.

What did you decide on? I am in the same predicament. Husband got me one for Christmas (shiny) - I did send him the link, but all the pics I see of people wearing them are the older matte style.
I’m so not sure!

If you were worried about copies I'm sure you'd have ordered neither, or don't care about what others think and rightfully so.
I've based my opinion on what I prefer and will age better.

Matte is much classier. I have the Marmont bag with the matte and it’s much more classic than shiny. I actually think the shiny one looks fake.

Shiny. The matt one looks like it was once shiny but lost it.

The shiny one says "I'm a Gucci belt and I am here!" and that's exactly what you want a Gucci belt to say!

I have the shiny one. I wear it every time I have jeans on and it gets hidden under tops and jumpers. I’ve had it a maybe a year or two and it looks as good as new (but then again, it’s seemingly under clothes a lot of time).
All I would say is that it bloody hurts when I take my jeans off and the GG buckle swings down and bangs against my big toe. Hurts as in ‘out loud swear words’ hurts.

Hmm that’s weird. Now I’m not actually sure which belt I have. I ordered the matte version from their website but I think I have the shiny one. I’ll have to check the item number
