Question about Liz Earle fragrances

Does anyone have any ideas of what the botanical essences range perfumes smell like in terms of equivalent fragrances in other brands? The descriptions sound nice but can’t get to a shop to sniff.

You can send ANYTHING you purchased from QVC back to them. Even chocolates and such. Yes all perfumes and make up. That is why I buy from them. No quibbles. If you don't like it for whatever reason, you can send it back!

They're expensive. I like one of them (think it's no.1) because it's quite like Chanel Cristalle but I have only got it a couple of times because of the price

I have No15 which is deep & spicy. If you like YSL Opium & Chanel Coco then you will like 15.
15 makes me think of being wrapped in just a cashmere cardi curled up in a shining chestnut brown leather high back chair in the library of an old fashioned members club where no women are allowed (unless they are a guest)
An open fire is roaring & the lights are down low. I'm drinking a glass of Cognac & there is a faint whiff of cigar smoke coming from down the corridor.
My long hair is down & I'm wearing dark red lipstick.

I've also had No100 which is as it says just like walking into a flower shop. To me 100 smells just like Estée Lauder Beautiful. I paired up a left over tube of Beautiful body lotion with 100 & the smell matched exactly.

No9 is very blackberry & smells like jam mixed with cat pee. Don't like it.

Its been a while since I've had No1, but I remember it being light & lemony with a faint hint of lavender.
I remember it reminding me of O de LancĂ´me. Bizarrely when I wear YSL Libre it makes me think of No1 (must be the lavender)

Haven't tried No20.

I wear No1 which is really fresh (and smells just like the Laura Ashley perfume I wore as a student to smell like my seriously chic french friend Grin) I also love 15 which is really spicy and long lasting. 100 is floral, 20 is spicy floral but 9 smells awful on me.

Yes, you can buy from qvc and use something, even perfume, and return within 30 days if you don't like it.

@Deathraystare, surely you can’t send perfume back once sniffed?!

If you buy from QVC and you don't like it you can send it back! No problem.

No. 15 is very much like Pomegranate Noir (Jo Malone) but seems to last longer. This is my favourite though I have worn 100 (a floral - that surprised me as I don't normally go for white florals). The only one I did not keep (got them all , gave one away was no.20 which is the pink pepper one). The no 9 has blackcurrant in (cassis) and is chyprey - which I do like) and I really like number one a sit is citrussey and fresh but could not afford to buy it this summer :(

I usually find perfume samples on eBay, don’t know if anyone is doing Liz Earle ones? I blind-bought No. 15 and it’s absolutely lovely! So spicy and warm, just smells of Autumn and Winter.

I always check what people say on fragrantica:

Thank you both. I was wondering if I might be able to get samples somewhere.

I have no. 15, which is a nice one for winter if you enjoy spicy fragrances. It's in the same family as Dior Ambre Nuit, ysl Opium and Old Spice. Very long lasting on me.

At this time of year QVC often do Liz Earle sets at good prices.

Can’t help with comparisons, but this article might be useful.

I wear No 1 - think of it as fresh and revitalising - I like green scents rather than heady florals. People often ask what it is. It is one of the few perfumes I would buy someone feeling confident they would like it - I have done so, and they loved it. Might it be worth ringing the customer number and asking if they might send a sample? Or include one with a purchase of something else?
