Dyson air wrap

Is it worth it? Hubby was going to treat me to one at Christmas. I was uncomfortable with the cost and asked on here and people recommended the Parlux range. So I have a Parlux hairdryer now which I love but I keep seeing the gorgeous ringlets at the bottom hair dos on people and when I ask, it's from the dyson air wrap. Anyone have one?

Let me know how the curls stay in. I'd definitely be interested if they stay in more then 2 days!

I'm enjoying playing with mine, first lot of curls dropped quickly but then I did it again damp and some trusty elnett seemed to do the trick!

Mine arrived today on the QVC offer, bought it with the mindset of trying it out to see if I can justify the cost - already love it

I cannot curl with straighteners, so usually use tongs but the curl with this is so much more natural looking and it’s held well so far

I decided to bite the bullet and buy one and it arrives tomorrow - today feels like Christmas Eve Grin

I will never ever buy a Dyson of any kind.
He’s a Brexit supporter that threw money at the Leave campaign he makes from these overpriced products made entirely abroad in sweat shops!!!!

Forgot to say , dampen your hair before you use the curl attachments.

I absolutely love mine . I’ve got shoulder length curly / frizzy hair . I can curl my hair so quickly . Whenever I use it I get compliments on my hair . It makes great ringlets then run through with your fingers so, they’re not like little girl ringlets . It’s so easy to use . There are lots of you tube videos . There are left and right curlers to use to get curls in either direction. I’m furloughed from work so have to be really cautious with money . I bought mine from Boots so I got about £80 worth of points when they do those points offers .So when things get back to normal I would love the new days on straightener.

Thank you! That's the only bit that's putting me off, curls with my straighteners can last 4-5 days...

@pinkrocker yes but not as much. I ended up with it half up last night so the front is a bit straighter. I haven't checked the back. I'll fix it up for today and see how I go.

@MrsPerfect12 are your curls still in this morning?

My set arrived today and it's amazing. I'd say it took no longer than 40 mins including drying time. My curls have been in since this morning and still strong.

I bought the full set despite having v fine hair and it’s been handy for my two dc who have different hair, for the small extra amount it’s worth it unless you’re sure you’ll never have anyone else with an opposite hair type use it.

@pinkrocker I justified it with the monthly instalments from Dyson - costs less than the gym membership I've never had Grin

Thank you always just trying to justify it, I do need a new hairdryer and it might encourage me to wash my hair more often instead of bunning it

Thanks @alwaysinpjs will do some research!

@wizzbangfizz I think the difference is the volume brush vs smooth brush.

If anyone with fine hair can advise whether it is worth spending the extra 50 I'd be grateful , is it just longer barrels you get on the full set?

@pinkrocker not sure how to link but hopefully this works. I bought it from Dyson as there's a 35 day trial.

@jammydodgerz I agree with everything you've said. It's steep but having lost a bit of weight I'm trying to make an effort with myself and this looks like I've done more than I have!

@alwaysinpjs I got the same one because my hair is thick and I have far too much of it despite only being just below my shoulders, and it's amazing. I'm still getting to grips with it but I already feel so much more confident and like I've made an effort (for once).

Perhaps the £450 price tag is a little too much, but it's worth it for the confidence boost I think!

always can you link to the one you bought, sounds like we have the same hair....

Inspired by this thread, I went for it. I've had a few days of practice now and it's a game changer for me. I've tried everything possible previously but this is amazing!
I got the complete long kit. Hair is thick and lots of it!

I'm definitely going to go for it but have another type question - I've fairly flat fine hair - should I go for the volume and shape? Or just get the full shebang?

I was very fortunate to get one from my parents for my birthday (they don’t usually spend that much!) and I love it. I’ve only had it a week but have managed curls and a normal blow dry. I definitely need some you tube tutorials though as I don’t really know what I’m doing! Blush great so far though, light and fairly quiet.
