I've recently replaced all of my make up and have made the switch from high end to cheaper brands I used to buy lancome, Clinique, ysl, dior, mac, benefit and urban decay however when everything needed replacing I didn't feel I could justify 400 pounds plus so now switched to a couple of cheaper brands

The best switches I've made are

Elf primer instead of soft box saving 20.00

Make up revolution eyeshadow pallet instead of urban decay naked pallet saving 33.00

I literally can not tell the difference between high end and cheap and cheerful so what are your best dupes/switches?

Hello, this thread is a little old and the links are out of date. Take a look at this handy page for a round-up of Mumsnetters' favourite beauty dupes.

I'm with Sukithedog on Superdrug Collection mascara being a great substitute for Lancôme Hypnose! Saving £'s!

Ivory, they do lots of Chanels but under less obvious names. The perfumista thread has a screenshot of those they do.

Just got a bottle of Jade by Yardley, which is VERY like Chanel Cristalle. It's very good and I got it for £8 on Amazon instead of £20 in Boots.

Love this thread!

Fragrancedirect.co.uk often have great bargains on ends of line etc too.

Anyone know any good powder dupes? My old skin doesn't want to look like Barbara Cartland.

www.fragrantica.com/perfume/Chanel/Allure-502.html

This site is good for giving you all the notes in perfumes and telling you the difference between parfum and EDT as I hadn't realised they are sometimes different, I just thought perfume was stronger! Confused

BTW I also emailed Perfume Parlour and they have replied saying they 'have had to remove those brand fragrances from their website' so not sure if they means they will no longer manufacture them when stocks run out or if they are just not referring to the similarity by name anymore.

Hi I asked the same question yesterday on a separate thread. I did a bit of digging on the site and think I found some under the names: Perfect, Clear, Delicacy and Spike. Read the reviews and check what notes are I your scent to see if you can work out which is the one you want. I think Clear is Cristalle

Could any Perfume Parlour expert please advise me? I've ordered and loved several of their scents, but would love to find duplicates for Chanel Allure and Chance. No amount of trying odd spelling has found anything! Help please??

I agree with poster regarding The Ordinary serum foundation, it is fantastic, also is it only me that thinks the Lidl perfume smells nothing like Chanel Madamoiselle

The Lidl perfume called something like Madame Glamour is a great substitute for Coco Chanel Mademoiselle

Make up dupes I need to investigate but perfume parlour.
I've just placed an order.

My favourite ever perfume new West by aramis was discontinued years ago. They have a dupe. I am beyond excited about this news Grin

Womanity is there too which is a relief as that was another one of my favourites discontinued.

I don’t highlight or strobe,I think it looks ghastly.too false and metallic-y
It’s not a good look. Instead of enhancing I think it’s aging.I like an more natural look
I think KUWTK/KKW looks they look like a drag queen, make up applied with a trowel

msharry if you do find a dupe/something v similar to LILY please let me know. I love Stella perfumes in general to be honest, just find the longevity is terrible. Stella original is my absolute favourite, but after two hours I find it has totally disappeared on my skin!
