What children's wear brands have the 'cool factor'?

Is there such thing as avant-garde children's clothes? What clothing brands do you think have the 'cool' factor? I want to get my children some stylish clothes for an event we've been invited to but I want to find something unusual and sort of sophisticated streetwear (does that exist for kids - I'm sure it must!) - Any ideas/tips/brand names/styling ideas?

Mini Rodini, Beau Loves, Indikidual, Gardner and The Gang, Molo. There’s an online shop called alex and alexa that has a large range of those kind of brands

PLEASE do not dress them in monochrome as favoured by the try hard Istagram mums.

A really cool, design-led and curated kids' lifestyle shop here: scoutandcokids.com/collections/mini-rodini
Lots of cool clothing brands as well as toys and decor. Love them!

My kids wear band tees a lot (but only bands they like) Grin skinny jeans, check shirts and docs.

My faves are beau loves, mini rodini, bobo choses, the animal observatory. Lovely, well made items that last.

Tootsa MacGinty! I love it as it's gender neutral and both DD and DS can wear it - expensive but great sales.

According to my dd and ds2, Primark is cool.

Thanks
@Hopintothescotch, I do like both of those sites -
@ButIamrightright and @Shantotto I agree, bottoms are best investment (and coats) as tops tend to be most prone to spillages etc

Have a look on Alex and Alexa or go through the babyccino portal website for some ideas.

Yes I do find with the cheaper tops it’s harder to find ones without silly slogans etc & very hard to find colours as they age. I tend to splash out more on the bottoms as I feel the high street is more generic with its patterns & colours. Plus I’ve found the tops get ruined faster if that makes sense.

I actually love Mini Rodinis random placement. Little Kitt has some nice prints & cheaper too. Papu also nice but ££

Oh and I meant to say I need to cut back on spending but I can't decide if it's to splash out and good bottoms or good tops. 🤔

I'm thinking bottoms as you see them when coats are on but sometimes patterns work best on bigger spaces, especially I find with some recent Mini Rodini the pattern matching can be a bit off on leggings.

@butiamrightright I'm really struggling to not rush out and buy it in every size!

We have that jumper too Shantotto😉

Yes to the mix & matching. I only buy cheap tees as DC tend to wear a sweatshirt or hoody over but splash out on a few cool leggings & sweaters.

I've been listing loads of expensive brands but I though my DS looked pretty cool yesterday in H&M jumper (sequins!) - £10 and Zara sale trousers - £4! Even if I do say so myself Grin

pancake you made a very valid point, it's all about the way you mix and match them.

Not too try hard either, just thrown on.

I'm hugely into Scandi - so Maxomorra, Duns, Alba, Indikidual, Smafolk
I also like Bobo, Mini Rodini, Popupshop

Don't know if they're cool,but I'm quite often complimented on what they're wearing. I have 2 DSs and 1 DD, 10, 7 and 4.

@morriszapp My DS doesn't wear jeans but the last Mini Rodini leggings I bought were £29. Amazing quality, buy a size up and they'll last ages on him and I can resell for half what I paid.
