Not done a next sale in 10years.
I can go boxing day
Whats the best time?
Is it worth it? Do vips online get best stock
Do some stores get better stock than others.

Not even sure what I want possibly ladies accessories , home maybe some kids items.

Is 5 am or 6am best time heard some scary stories of people grabbing loads to sell on.

In the days when their sale started at 8am me and a friend used to queue at the store at Charing Cross and then head up to Oxford Street and come back laden with bags. Once their opening times moved to 7am, or earlier, I refused to do it.

I drop in now at the end of the first week. There's usually all the stuff that people have brought back, and they make further reductions and I've been quite lucky in the past.

And they email them to you, so minimal effort required. I was stalking some Barbour boots but the size I wanted sold out.

The slots are for online shopping, Medicinal. Completely painless sofa shopping.

Bloody hell- can’t believe people are organised enough to book a slot to do some sale shopping in next- think I’d rather pay what I’d save to stay as far away as possible!

Good luck to everyone shifting the lot into binbags and then turfing what they don’t want onto the floor. What a time to be alive Confused

I got a VIP slot and bought some cheap Christmas decs for next year and a Mario chess set for DS's birthday in March

It's awful. Unless you are size 22 or 6 and want last summer's clothes.

I never shop in Next other than to buy pyjamas in the sale - I usually go in about a week after it starts though.

I have bought Fat Face and Seasalt clothing items

I usually find that about a month after the sale is the best time to get stuff from Next clearance after the first lot of returns has come back. You usually have to wait 4+ weeks for the VIP delivery anyway so get stuff at about the same time, I have never not got an item I wanted from the sale by doing this.

Next sale in the shop is a bit shit and they don't have the tall stuff so I wouldn't queue for it. They haven't delivered a couple of items I ordered for Christmas so if they don't come in the next couple of days they better cough up with the gift voucher from their Christmas delivery promise

Well.....had my VIP sale slot at 17:00hrs
I’d already previewed and made notes of the reference numbers
And I got everything ........
This is the first time ever as it’s all usually gone by the time I log in
Well pleased...and so is my daughter

They’re well known for dragging out all kinds of tat for their sale. The last time I went, a few years ago, they had summer dresses out in January!

I really wouldn’t bother.

Mine is for 5pm
You get access to what will be in the sale but I have to say it generally goes quickly and if you add stuff to your basket and carry on browsing then by the time you come to check out most has gone anyway

Has anyone had a sale slot yet? They are usually out the week before Xmas.

I'm sorry, WHAT? 5am? To go into a shop? No discount is worth that.

Report

I really don’t understand the queueing from 5am thing. No other shop has this and I don’t understand why next does, it never seems that popular in non sale time

BelfastSmile · 18/12/2017 07:40

I wait and go towards the end of the sale. That way, you get all the stuff that people grabbed on day 1 and then returned, and it's nice and quiet for a browse.

I got quite a few nice kids' things in their summer sale, really well reduced.

Wouldn't queue for a sale, ever. Even if I was desperate, I'd rather go to a charity shop and browse in peace.

I have a small Next branch locally which usually has some sale stock left at 10am as would never do the 5am thing. My friends that get up early and queue tend to return most of what they buy anyway so I think they just go for the thrill of it or something Confused

Not that impressed with their current range so probably won't bother at any time of the day. Even the kids clothes are all nasty polyester and acrylic this season...

I went at 5am last year. I passed out in the queue. I’m staying home this time.

I go for the kids. You need to go early especially if it’s a big store. Last year the Trafford Centres que started at 3am 😳 I went for when it opened and queued for nearly 2 hours to get in

I like their kids stuff & homeware.

Don't think I'll get a vip listing as I haven't bought much this year.

Agree that the quality of sale stuff has declined in recent years, with a lot of recycled items from the Clearance section of the app.

You really have to be there at 5am for the best deals, although I understand some stores have started their furniture sales already.
