I've found a DD + fab bra - bought four

It's this one twin pack from Debenhams two for £25 - Gorgeous DD lace underwire D+ t-shirt bra.

It's worth trying a few different sizes on o get the best fit. I bought this colour way and a white / nude combination. Never in my life have I had four comfortable bras at the same time. The are underwired but it was so comfortable that I slept in it.

They are slightly padded but have a soft cup; supportive without massive shoulder and back straps and look pretty. The lace is very soft.

White /nude were bigger than the black/teal, maybe because there is slightly less give in the fabric in the darker set? In any case, I'm glad I tried on. I don't usually but it was well worth the mission.

Buying bras is a pita CakeGin for everyone.

FFS - this is why I HATE bra-shopping with a passion! Inconsistency across different shops is one thing, but you'd think one shop could manage to be consistent about their bloody sizing! Grr, rant over. Sorry, long day. I think I need coffee... And possibly chocolate...

Got my white/nude and black/nude sets yesterday, two different sizes, but neither is comfortable 😕.

The black and teal set is smaller than the white and nude (on me). Although the second set is bigger, it still fits though i fasten the band and shoulder straps tighter. I'm going to try to get some of the single ones. It might be worth looking in the reduced bit, I found a purple one for £3ish. You do need to try them on though.

I will bear that in mind - I've ordered two packs but will make sure I try the singles properly.
If you bought them online you can return them even without the label.

As Yourmywifenow says, it turns out the ones you buy in pairs are a bit different from the ones you buy singly. The single ones have slightly thicker cups (though they're still not really 'padded'), the fabric is a bit silkier and they are ever so slightly smaller than the ones in the two packs. I just excitedly bought a two-pack in the same size after trialling a single, ripped the labels off confidently and now own two slightly too big bras, one in a colour I don't even wear as they don't do a black/nude combo. Sigh.

They have 2 x £16 t-shirt bras but I havent tried them. m.debenhams.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/prod_10701_10001_150010532399_-1

As someone said earlier that aren't padded, the cup is two pieces of material. The last one I had was a little more padded than these.

Impressive nipple action, the cup is fairly thick.

Actually I've just put a nude one on after a shower and it isn't padded. As someone else said, it's two thick layers of fabric. Even so, that's impressive nipple action to get through.

The one these replaced had a much thicker

Unfortunately the 32 band is too big for me, so unless they start doing more sizes, I've lost my favourite bra Sad. I keep telling them in store that they need to add more smaller bands but they obviously don't think there's a market.

I love the look and cut of them but no, I need full reinforced padding to stop me taking someone's eye out when it's cold.

30" is the widest, shame they don't do a 28" hh. It might be worth ringing or popping in to see if you can order the right size.

This style is the holy grail of bras for me. They do many other styles though and they see much cheaper than large cup brands.

RJ they are ever so slightly added and so that shouldn't be a problem - they really do work as t-shirt bras.

Kanye and Pick I went up a band width and a cup size for one of the sets. They cover the full breast but are comfortable and my clothes look much better. It's definitely worth trying different sizes on.

Youre - glad you agree.

I have a drawer full.of bras that I need to find a home for.

I've been bigging up these bras for years, I love them! Unfortunately I've gone down a back size but not cup, so I've sized myself out of them and can't find a replacement I can bear for more than a few hours. I'm nearly considering putting back on weight just to wear them again only slightly kidding

Am I the only one whose nipples make an appearance through that type of bra?

My favourite as a DD cup is Freya

I love these bras, i have loads of them. Wore them all through pregnancy so I have them in every cup size.
I wish they did a nude and black combo though, I never wear white bras
So I sell the White ones on ebay, they go for £10-12.

They do a single one which looks the same but is more padded and fits a bit smaller.

They do a cream/ white and coral set in a 30" band width.

10% off is fab. Hope they work for you.

Pick I think the other ones with the same description are the same style (but different colours).

I also found a 10% off code so I've ordered 3 packs in different sizes/colours to compare.

PickAChew · 22/04/2017 23:04

Bah. No 30" band size.

Smallangryplanet · 22/04/2017 23:00

I'll definitely try different types from Debenhams now.

Even though they are the same style, I have different size cups and band width for each of the two sets. I never try stuff on but recommend you do if you can get to a store.

I have several of those in different colours. They fit really well, are very comfy and the cups aren't moulded at all.

I'm actually wearing one at the moment so in the interests of research for the thread I've had a feel of the fabric and can report that the cups are made of a double layer of silky fabric.

They are my favourite everyday bras. They also wash well & survive tumble drying.

I have one of these and I wouldn't call it padded if that's putting anyone off. It's pretty comfy and I'm quite happy with it as a replacement for the much-missed BHS range! I'm usually a 34e and wear a 34f in this, so maybe think about going up a cup size

Ah they say non-padded!
I have ordered some on that basis!
