Fitted black v-neck jumper

Trills · 26/09/2016 19:45

Fitted, I say, not baggy.

With a deepish V.

Not cable-knit or any other bollocks.

Not looking like a school jumper.

Where is it? It must exist somewhere.

I bought the M&S one based on this thread (the cheaper one not the Autographh one). It is going back as it is not fitted and it looks like a school jumper :-(

Sizing down on a "relaxed fit" doesn't get the same shape as one that is designed to be more fitted.

I ordered that boden one yesterday but I like a more relaxed fit. If you like it fitted, why not just try sizing down?

I went into an actual M&S today and bought this one that is not wool but is the right shape.

Would have got the burgundy too if it had been in my size.

The wait of it is not very long, but I'm planning on mainly wearing with skirts anyway. The sleeves ARE nice and long (and soft/thin enough to push up).

I live in fine merino v-necks in the winter. I used to get them almost exclusively from Gap but after accidentally felting an old favourite in the dryer and trying to buy a replacement I was alarmed to see that they aren't doing them this year.

Anyway. Try this one from Banana Republic. Plenty of colours, although sadly black is sold out in XXS, M & L.

I completely feel your pain. I am a short arse and trying to find a jumper that doesn't drown me and ends at my waist is impossible. I think I am going to order the first M&S one you linked to though. It looks promising.

Oh, it's good is it?

It is the only one in the right shape that I've seen.

sentia thank you for your contribution but I have already requested no cable knit or other bollocks.

I had the most amazing grey one from Zara a few years ago. I must go back and see but I would think they should do black?

What about this?

The fitted-ness of the Pure one looks very different on the different models.

I want a jumper that expects me to go out then in again.

If you see a scoop neck with a low enough neck and fitted like I want I will happily give it a go!

You will never find it. It is much too basic and sensible an item of clothing. Also it is a law (A Law) that v-necks must never ever be sold in a colour you want. I suggest you look for scoop necks instead. They're all ooover the fecking place always.

Also all tops are relaxed right now. Very depressing.

That's a better V but from this pic and this pic it looks like it's not very fitted.

Boden are tempting me with some nice knitted dresses but the only v-neck jumper I can find it this one and "relaxed" is not the fit I want.

How about gb.benetton.com/shop/gb_en/women/knitwear/v-neck-pullover-185369.html but sadly it has polyester in 😁

Just make all your jumpers in a range of colours, people!

That Autograph one appears to have a better V, but it had SHORT sleeves (I could do 3/4, but not short) and doesn't come in black.

Thank you for not just calling me bonkers :)

You'd think a black jumper would be a simple thing, but it is not.

I sympathise it's frustrating when you can't find what you want.

This is the navy one I am trying to find a reason not to buy
