Light citrusy perfume - any recommendations?

My favourite EDT has been discontinued at Yves Rocher - Citrus Flower. It was lovely, light and perfect to wear for work as not too strong.

So I need to find something else. Ideally grapefruit notes but nothing too strong - I didn't like the Jo Malone citrus ones. Any ideas? I can spend up to £50.

Despite it being mentioned so many times, I have to say D&G Light Blue is the best and it has great lasting power. I bought the Sunset in Salina version last year from duty free and thats very pretty as well. Also Chance Eau Fraiche is great too.

Escale a Parati is my favourite of the Dior EDTs. Citrus with tonka bean, I love it!

I love L'occitane Verveine but they also have a newish one - grapefruit and rhubarb which is lovely if you are after grapefruit.

For something different I recommend Hermes Un jardin sur Le Nil - more complex but still fresh and summery.

Miller Harris Petitgrain is very citrusssy, as is their Citron Citron, but both quite pricey. Good deals sometimes on EBay for MH stuff. My all time favourite though is Diptyque Tarocco, which is a blood orange cologne. It lasts fairly well on me (lots of things don't). Also worth looking at Fragrance Library, formerly Demeter. Lots of good single note colognes there, including Gin & Tonic, which is beautifully citrusssy.

Aqua di Parma is a firm summer favourite of mine. Makes me want to holiday in Italy whenever I wear it.

It's a pleasure. I keep meaning to try the cologne myself (you're not the first person I've heard recommend it!) but keep forgetting on the few occasions I spot it.Smile

Ooh, thanks for that tip. Didn't know you could even get it outside of Spain!

Happy In Bloom is what I've been wearing for daytime. The box and bottle are pretty too.

I only ever wear citrussy scents and like you am not a big fan of the Jo Malone ones.

My favourites are Hermès Eau d'Orange verte (also their Eau de Pamplemousse rose), the very old and classic 4711 eau de Cologne, and Roger & Gallet Eau des Bienfaits (more of a body spray, very light and clean).

I find l'Occitane Verbena smells great but disappears almost immediately on me.

My all time favourite is a Spanish eau de Cologne made by Alvarez Gomez, simply called Agua de Colonia Concentrada. You can only buy it in Spain though (in pharmacies). It's just an explosion of lemony deliciousness and it lasts for ages. I buy huge bottles of it when I go to Spain and it lasts for years.

Chanel Chance Vive (the new one!) is actually a grapefruit in a bottle. It's absolutely gorgeous. And totally grapefruit. Go and have a spray and you'll love it!

shopaholic.....I had a spray of Paris, O de Lancome and Dior Addict at the duty free (neck, left arm, right arm respectively!) ...that was 7pm Sunday

I could not even smell the Paris on my scarf by the time I got home...might have been a bit noseblind, but tbh YSL perfumes have never lasted on me.
The Lancome and Dior were still there, and by then I really liked the Addict
Next morning in the shower as the water hit the Lancome wafted up, but not a hint of the others.

I am going to have a peruse about the nearest prfume counter for the Lancome lemony ones for summer....still kicking myself that i didn't just get it on sunday.

Do any of these perfumes actually have good staying power? Or are they all eau du toilettes?

I like citrusy smells too but staying power is my number one priority!

Claris eau de jardins, it's an amazing grapefruit and lemon scent, but also super for sunny days as it has no alcohol, and won't react to sunshine, so won't make your skin break out / discolour/ burn.

I love O de Lancome azure - I think as its rosy as well as citrusy - it has a nice balmy pink peppercorn smell.
MnS do a good dupe for DnG light blue called azure.

Chanel chance eau fraiche is amazing also.
