Travela hand bag perfume spray question?

Friend has given me one of these got Christmas. The perfume is disgusting, I have sprayed and sprayed to empty it. How to get rid of smell? Will just refilling it with something else cover it up?

They are just travel bottles for you to decant your own EDT/EDP into.

No not a wind up honest. If it came empty, my friend filled it with perfume, not to my taste shall we say. So I have squirted away ( outside) to empty. Have put some of my own into it to see if I can drown out hideous previous smell.

If it is a refillable bottle couldn't you have just unscrewed the lid and tipped the perfume away?

The lids don't unscrew, Dexter, they are sealed units. You fill them via a pump mechanism thing that sucks the perfume up through the bottom of the travelo using the spray top of your regular perfume.

It's like a valve thing that you pump.

I have one but want to put my new perfume in it. Does anyone know how to clean them?

You don't need to clean them. Once empty and you refill with a new perfume the old perfume fades after a few sprays. I have a few and tend to keep one for floral scents, one for orientals etc.

No mini. It came empty and I put my own perfume in it (Britney Spears Circus Fantasy ) and have been using it so it's nearly empty. Got new perfume for Christmas (Flowerbomb) and now I want to put that in it but I don't want to mix the smells, or waste any of the new stuff cos it was expensive!

Likewise, I did not want to mix smells either, thus my original question, I have half filled with my own now to see what happens. Will try it out tomorrow.
