Nice jeans for curvy shape?

YourHandInMyHand · 01/09/2013 09:38

I want some nice jeans for autumn/winter but not skinnies as I have big hips and thighs and they just don't suit me.

Anyone with a curvy body shape found anything that's a good fit on the high street?

I also adore levis demi-curve jeans. Comfy and really flattering. Because I'm quite curvy, I thought I would fit a "bold curve", but the demi curve was better for me.

Woah, just googled Levis Revel. Gorgeous.

Daft name though. What next, Malteser fit?

Agree. Ordered dark. Always my comfort jean!

The dark ones look like they would be very flattering.

Thanks so much dexter. I think I will invest. Would love a nice looking bum! Colours look good too.

seven for all mankind give me a lovely shape but they are £££. I got a pair off Amazon recently fot 60 quid though, but they were skinnies.

lurkingaround - my jeans arrived. I ordered these. They were very nice but a tiny bit on the tight size so I have asked for an exchange to the next size up. They are quite low waisted which I don't normally find to be the case, but I don't mind that. Made my bum look nice!

I find the problem with the Levi ones is that they are quite low cut. I prefer jeans to sit just below my waist, not just above my hips. M and S have a fantastic range of jeans now and the Eva ones are a good fit for my curvy hips and don't leave a gap round the waistband.

The Next lift and Shape are good, but I am in between sizes at the moment and they are either too tight or too loose.

Went to tesco today think they have ripped off Nexts "lift and shape" ones they had a nice looking blue pair and high waisted black ones. They looked good... Think they were 20 quid. Didn't have time to try them on today but will next time I go,

Levi Demi curve.

Also - I picked up a pair of lovely straight jeans in Tesco the other day. They cost £5 in the sale. Every bit as nice as my Levi's except not quite as thick. Very comfy.

Wow I wasn't expecting so many replies! Thanks so much. Smile

I don't know where to start! Lots to try out, may have to go for a trying on session in town when DS goes back to school.

I'm 5ft6 with massive boobs and hips, skinnies make my legs look like parsnips.

Sorry should have read OP a bit more carefully Blush now I can see you weren't looking for skinnies. Worth giving mint velvet a go in any case, you may be pleasantly surprised about how they look on you.

Mint velvet do good skinny jeans that fit me well - I'm a curvy 14. Good quality too, so last for a long time.

Levi's for me too. They do a demi curve or a bold curve, depending on your shape and what I love about them is that they are tailored in above the hip so you don't get a gap at the back where you knickers show! Someone on here recommended to me last winter and I have about five pairs now.

I'd second the Levi's curve - I've never been able to find jeans which fit properly but picked up a pair in TK Maxx the other day and they are fabulous.

Uniqlo are surprisingly good (and cheap!). They do straight leg and boot cut as well as skinny. I'm very curvy and they're not a bad fit at all on me.

Yes! M&S Eva jeans. They are so comfortable. I used to buy the Gap ones but they don't last. The Eva jeans are far better cut. I want to but 10 pairs in one go. They come in pale or dark denim and black; straight or narrow bootleg and in different leg lengths. The straight cut is good. In fact I'm just waiting for the cooler weather to get back into them.

Levis curve. They also have a new range called Revel that are supposed to do wonderful things to your bum and thighs. I have ordered a pair obviously!
