I'm off out this weekend for a friends hen night. I am absolutely broke and have literally nothing to wear Sad .
My choices are absolutely limited. I own one pair of jeans one pair of blue linen trousers and one pair of black trousers. I own a few various coloured t-shirts and vest tops. nothing remotely suitable for an evening out.
I also have a gold lace cardigan and a white shrug.
I am fat Sad and a bit fed up, please someone send me a fairy godmother or sort me an outfit from the above listed?!

Double decker red Rimmel nail varnish is only £ 1.99 in Superdrug. Always makes me feel vampy.

No more suggestions OP as everyone else has it covered!

Just wanted to say I have been in the position of wanting to cry/cancel because I'm not feeling confident about what to wear and it's horrible. I really do hope you have a great night and I'm sure you'll look great Smile

Good news Smile tidying the bathroom and I've just found an unopened box of soap and glory products so I'll smell divine!. A friend has lent me a fab little black bag which when I've looked inside has a small bottle of perfume which she says I'm free to use Smile .
I'm working all day today but tomorrow I'm off to get myself a vest top and back some shoes which broke -on wearing them once useless cheap rubbish - hopefully they will refund and I can treat myself to a nail varnish Grin
So, all in all things looking up thank you all again xx

That's the spirit Gwen. Be tough with the store if they try to avoid refunding.

Come to the MNVogue thread too. Yes we talk about clothes that can be pricey and out of reach but you'll find loads of ideas and support on how to re style your existing wardrobe and many of us are on diets/health plans and support each other.

I trawled the high street last year, looking for a top for a night out and finally (close to tears!) found something that suited me which I have since bought several more of in different colours!

Wear jeans or black trousers and a tight/well fitted vest top. A long one that covers all the bumpy bits is best-H&M and Matalan are good for these. Then, get an a-line lace top which fits round the boobs but flares out round the hips. I have a lovely black lace top with sequins on which I wear over a nude plain vest top and a pink/nude lace one to wear over a black vest. Honestly, they look so pretty and cover up all the lumps and bumps!

I've found lace tops in New Look, Select, H&M and TU.

Did anyone else read the last half of this thread singing that black and gold song in their heads? Or was it just me? :)
