Is time for a maxi dress thread?

Yes.

Yes it is.

I want one with long or 3/4 sleeves.

Not jersey.

In a size 16.

Not too pricy.

Can you help?

I want something for summery days... So casual. I like nice, unfussy clothes. I am checking out the petite ranges but nothing has grabbed me yet.

I think it's the lack of nice maxis that's the problem, scarlet... What kind of thing are you after? Might as well use the thread for something Grin

Sorry tethers
I always thought it was my lack of height that made it difficult to find them.

Well, I was so desperate I made myself one last year.

Which isn't helping either.

You're not helping, scarlet!

Oh. The thread died on its arse.

Probably no point bumping.

Nobody cares

Maybe it wasn't time after all...

Love the Baukjen one but alas, I'm have too many "curves" for it now I've hit the menopause!

I do have quite a few vintage ones, but fancy a new one. I'll do a proper ebay trawl, thanks.

Remus, ideally I'd like cotton, but that just doesn't exist. I don't mind a bit of polyester Grin I've got a couple of jersey maxis and I'm just not feeling them. So to speak.

just linking willeeee nilleee now

actually meant to link to this one earlier (I like them. I am trying to find an occasion where I could carry off looking like a penitent medieval nun. If there was such a thing, and faffing about in a hairshirt wasn't just a job for the boys at that time)

Why not jersey? The Baukjen one looks lovely; the others are polyester monstrosities.

God, there's bugger all out there...

I want a relatively fitted one, but not too clingy, no crazy drapey bits of fabric masquerading as sleeves. Apart from on STD's first link which I am buying at once, obv.

I definitely have to have sleeves- I don't do shrugs and cardis. They make me upset.

Thanks all for trying. It's slim pickings.

I saw a woman wearing one last year that was nearly grazing the floor and it looked really nice.

She held herself nicely though and was very well groomed, I think it helps. Plus the fabric draped beautifully.
