How often do you wear heels?

I wear heels every time I leave the house, whether shoe or boot but normally boot. Even just to go to the supermarkets. Not necessarily killer heels but a 3 inch or something like that. I don't bother in the house. Apparently this is weird?? (Said by a short man who I think is a bit insecure about it)

How often do you wear heels and what kind of height?

Rarely. I love the look of them, but I find it is just not worth the pain!

I wear flat or low-wedge sandals all summer and flat or low heel boots most days in the winter. Converse for very casual days.

Heels only come out for special occasions.

Never, ever

Every week day 3/4 inchers for work and at weekends usually wedges/birkies/converse/flats or low heeled boots.

I live in fear of my calves looking like a Tour de France cyclist.

novice thanks for that. I was wondering whether it was worth spending more. What sort of price range do the shoes you buy come from?

Atm I'm looking for a job so don't have lots of money but when I do find work it may be worth looking at the more expensive range to see if they are better.

At the moment, never (pregnant). Normally, at work daily and if we ever go out in evening (rare). Boots have a heel but otherwise weekends it is mostly flats. Pre-children I don't think I owned a flat pair of shoes.

It can be a bit of a poisoned chalice novice trousers never fit, my arms are ridiculously long so cropped sleeves feature large in my wardrobe. And I can never buy nice girly shoes (hooker's shoes - yes, nice pretty girly ones - no)

Oh to be 5' 10"! (Says short arse!) Chaotic - not sure what works for everyone else but I spend a lot of money on heeled shoes as I find they are better constructed and don't kill my feet - I can even run for trains in them. I am happy to wear £2 flats from the market but wouldn't buy cheap heels.

About once every leap year.
I last about 2-3 hours. Then my feet hurt so badly I literally can't stand nor walk anymore.

Yeah, heels make me look sexier in a way. But that SO doesn't make up for the reduced ability to run (for instance, for catching a train). Nor for the bloody pain. It's practicality over vanity for me.

Practically never. I'm 5'10" and got size 9 feet. I look like a drag queen and pretty much walk like one when in heels :o

Like RabidRabbit I only wear heels for special occasions and nights out and the balls of my feet kill me after about 2/3 hours. How do those of you who wear them regularly prevent this? Is it because you wear them so often?

I'd love to wear heels more often but this does stop me. Admittedly during the day I use public transport if going out but even on a night out when I get a taxi, due to pt stopping early around here, I still find my feet aching after a couple of hours going round pubs/clubs. Yet I see some walking around town seemingly without any problems.

3-4 inches for work and interviews, and about the same height for going out in the evenings (another pear-shaped short-arse here!). I always wear trousers, and my legs are short in proportion to my torso so heels balance out my proportions. Wear flats for going out pushing the buggy though - but I've accepted that I can't manage to be out with DS and look anything but crap anyway Sad. If I could make the rest of me look nice while pushing a buggy, I'd wear heels.

At work, always. Otherwise, when I'm going out or if I fancy it (ie wedges with summer dress).

I love heels or flats. They're all shoes. Draw the line at trainers or Converse though...

Every work day - out of work flip flops or converse.

I have worn heels for one evening in all of my 36 years and I will probably never wear them again.

I am already very tall and I just felt super self concious, it's always really hard to find footwear for wedding etc, thank god for ballet flats and may they never go out of fashion.

I wear 4 inch heels for work and 3 inches for formal socialising - if that involves moving about more. Otherwise flats.

Special occasions or nights out only. I just can't do heels, have never really worn them so have never felt comfortable walking in them, I feel all out of balance and like I will topple over or snap my ankle in anything higher than 3 inches! And the balls of my feet feel like they are on fire after a couple of hours!

I had a knee operation a few motnhs ago and that was really the first time I started wearing flats. I work full time so genrally wear heals for that and being a pear shaped short arse I look soooo much better in a pair of heals. Flats make me feel dumpy! I do wear than more now than I ever have before though - perhaps something to do with turning 30?!?!

I don't feel feminine in flats. Also I need the height on my legs. I am 5' 7" but my back is that of a 6 ft person and my legs are that of a 5 ft 4 person Angry

Same as you as well, for work and shopping etc about 3 inch heels, for fancy going out slightly higher sometimes. Do have some pumps and flat shoes but feel a bit undressed wearing them. 5 ft 4 so not too short but could do with a bit of height for some clothes to look good.

Sometimes for work if I have a stationary day, mostly for going out, events etc.
