The accessories are already reduced, I put in our favourite spend £30 get £10 off code and it came to £21 instead of £40 so, thats a bargain in my book. Perfect for work.

Ooh I'm being bad and ordering one. I think I may use it as a changing bag for DC£, not due til July, but will be good for work til then.

I used TPWN mentioned further down the thread for £10 off, worked a couple of hours ago.

Mine just arrived - delivery man woke me up but I decided to forgive him under the circumstances. Looks brilliant - I was hoping for a large handbag rather than work bag, so looks just right for me. Will use it for Church as it will fit my bible and also some Phoenix catalogues for when I'm doing that. Very happy. Grin

I think its perfect for a changing bag if your a breast feeder, I find I have to carry a lot less than my ff friends, if I had bottles etc too it would be too small, but I have the following in mine:

Keys times 2
Large purse
Phone
Sunglasses
8 nappies
Pack of wipes
Nappy bags
Small changing mat
Babygro
Bib
Muslin
Bfeeding cover
Assorted bits for me and stuff like infacol, dentnox, dummy etc

It's full yes, but it all fits in!

I do find it heavy tbh and have only used it when necessary like when I need to carry loads of stuff for DDs. Also worry that in heavy rain water would get in at the ends. But hey ho DD1 has it now.

It's arrived. It's shiny. Am a little Hmm but will take it to work tomorrow and see. Is plenty big enough for me, a bit stiff colours of the brown one are fine and muted enough for me I think.

Mine came today too. I ordered the brown one and it is a lot more muted than the picture in the catalogue suggests.

It is big enough for the smallish A4 folders that I need to carry to work. I am bit worried though that it looks like a school bag.

Mine arrived today too. A bit smaller than I'd imagined (a good thing) though I doubt I'll be using it as an everyday handbag type thing. I will probably use it as a nappy/change bag. I've also ordered the bookbag (separately so I could take advantage of extra discount!) which I may keep or give to either SIL or DM for Christmas.

I have the same worry Domestic I used to rock student chic but think I'm trying for a bit more grown up now.

In fact I'm thinking of exchanging for the blue or returning Shock The brown may be too muted.

My DC say that it is "cool". However they are 4, 6 and 8.

With my Akka down coat and purple knitted beret I think I may be projecting funky student rather than elegant thirty-something.

Does it fit A4 folders ? I bought one in each colour for DD and I but didn't think it would hold very much tbh, I might have another look at it.

domesticsluttery · 22/11/2010 17:12

It wouldn't fit a lever arch file, but it fits my A4 zip poly files and A4 notebooks.

I used mine for college today and got SO many nice comments! I was a bit worried that it would clash with my usual 'style' (tongue in cheek!) of black, more black, skulls, dr martens and a bit of glitter Wink but everyone said it was very "me" - I got the red one. It's strange though because one of my friends is very Boden, wears a lot of Joules etc, and I could imagine it suiting her too.

My college tutor offered me £25 for it haha!

mamatomany, I'd say at a push it would, but it is smaller than it looks on the site, although it fits more than you'd think, if that makes sense? In mine today I had my diary, [huge] purse, pencil case, few makeup bits/tampax/paracetomol/tissues, car keys and phone, and there was still room in it. I carried my folder in another bag, but it's a big lever arch thing.

Interesting, the kids don't have A4 books at first do they ? And I don't need to drag all my notes around with me all of the time.
Am torn now Grin

I'm probably only wibbling because of all the other stuff I've bought this month, it's even hidden in the wardrobe from DH!

I do think it takes abit of getting used to. It is stiff and it clashes with my checked coat.

Its definitely not a work bag for me, more like a nipping into town shopping bag. I would never have paid full money for it.

Having said that, I reckon they would make good presents, if theres any left!

The website says none left, gonna keep it as it is bigger than my other (leather) day bag and my coats are plain. Should be able to shove some nappies and wipes in it for dd.

the website has stopped all their reductions so, I take it the sale will be starting very soon.
