It’s 2016, and many of us have pledged to kick old habits or try something new. Clairol nice ‘n easy wants to know how Mumsnetters are getting on with sticking to their New Year’s resolutions.

Here’s what they say: “We’re all too familiar with the frustrations of being stuck on style repeat – whether it’s due to being busy at work, having a hectic social life or being scared of change. But little changes can make a big difference; whether that’s a new lipstick, a new accessory or a different hair shade. With nice’n easy’s wide palette of shades, there’s a shade for every woman who wants to refresh her look. Each shade delivers up to 100% grey coverage, plus natural tones and highlights, thanks to Clairol’s exclusive ColourBlend Technology. What better time to go for a change than a new year? That’s exactly the time we chose to change our models on pack. What changes did you plan for this year?”

How are your New Year’s resolutions going so far and plans? Perhaps you’re working off those Christmas mince pies by hitting the gym? Or are you trying to broaden your horizons by reading more books? Maybe you’re taking the “new year, new you” idea a little more literally, by colouring your hair or changing your wardrobe?

However you’re getting on with your resolutions, nice ‘n easy would love to hear about it.

Everyone who posts on this thread will be entered into a prize draw, where one lucky Mumsnetter will win a £300 Love2Shop voucher.

Thanks and good luck,
MNHQ

Going good so far. I've gotten above 95% in each aspect of my university course so far. Let's hope I don't jinx it!

Dieting failure, again.

Dcorating our first home, better. Ordered three pictures, shoe storage and a mirror so at least something is underway.

My resolution was to eat healthy and reduce the no of takeaways - so far have not had a single takeaway the whole month.

Very well - I've lost a stone in Jan, and am much less stressed and feeling so much more relaxed now I am exercising regularly.

OH and I decided to cut back on unhealthy evening snacks and just generally cut back on portion size. Annoying OH has lost over a stone already and I've lost 5lbs - all going well so far!

The family and I have been keeping fit and eating more healthy for nearly a month now, and we are doing great. It's much more fun doing it as a family than own your own. The kids love doing alongside their parents!

I had the usual eat healthier resolutions which have gone to pot already. However I also aimed to get back to work this year and have already accepted a job so that is good.

Very slowly-mine was to lose weight after i had an accident that damaged my back and the nerves in my leg causing drop foot...what a palava. Its slowly healing but i'm getting fatter due to my doc upping my antidepressant meds....still, onwards and upwards, i will HAVE to get there in the end...baby steps,

My new year resolution was to smile and laugh more, so far it's been 50/50. I'm trying to watch lighthearted programmes and read funny, positive inspirational books but it's so easy to be negative and moan when it's dark and cold outside.

Nine is make healthier choices. It's going okay so far but I know I can motivate myself to do better which is my aim for February. I am keeping it all very broad to avoid restrictions on myself
