i am having problems sleeping again.

last night i was shattered so was in bed just after 9pm. but then i woke up at 2am, 3am 4am etc etc.

this happens everytime i need an early night. i just cant sleep through for the whole night.

i still feel shattered today, so will attempt another early night.

have started to cut down caffine again, as think this may be affecting things. but is there anything else to try?

it's a full moon at the moment - I always sleep badly when it's a full moon. sorry that's not much help though is it! I had a crap night last night, not helped by my 3 year old getting up twice. I am 15 weeks pregnant and completely shattered too, so I feel your pain...

Are you worried about anything? if i had things on my mind i would write it all down before i got ready for bed. i was up six times with my babe - so with you the tired front today

well same again last night. i stayed up til 10pm in the hope that delaying sleep a little bit would send me to sleep (btw The supersizers go... seriies on bbc2 i think is extremely funny). but was awake from 4am onwards.

then my kids got up at 6am, and woke me up with riotous laughter, i have no idea what was so funny, but was better than grumpiness i guess.

Sometimes I find getting out of bed, walking round the house and then returning to bed helps sleep.
Or, I used to watch Big Brother on a very low volume or even mute and this helped me go back to sleep every time I stirred.

Nothing else worked for me, unless it was a hardcore prescription sleeping pill (which I wouldn't take if preggers).

Poor you misdee - a midwife told me that your baby has a different metabolism and that can keep you awake. I couldn't sleep when pregnant with my second - spent the whole night up weeing, heartburn etc. Used to just get up and read the paper as I got so fed up with lying thinking about not being able to sleep.
Have you tried any alternative therapies? I know they are expensive but accupunture might work - or a relaxation tape
