we've had to put the boy's matress on the lowest setting as he can pull himself up and the bar was basically half way down his middle so was obviously dangerous, the thing is on the bottom setting the bumper is either about an inch shy of the matress (which I don't like cos I feel it's dangerous for him) but on the other hand when we took the bumper off he kept banging his head (still asleep) on the headboard, which obv caused some bruises. (I worry ppl will think i'm hitting him - which I'm not nor would ever hurt my child)
so what else can I do re the bumper really - (i'm not entirely sure on how long it should stay ont here for) if I take iot off waht else can I use to protect his head cos I know he can't have a pillow yet. but likewise I don't want to put the bumper down on teh abrs cos it slides down and cruumples at the bottom - which to me is dangetrous as well cos he might suffocate. so waht's the best course of action? (he noramlly sleeps in the middle of his cot but invertiably more about in all directions but seems to settle with his head right at the top - he has a sleeping bag over him to keep him warm.)
and is just over 8 months btw.
