I'm watching

Every time i post on a thread the "Im watching" box is checked. I am not checking this box. Why is this happening and how can i stop it?

Now it has thrown off my colour themes for OP's and my posts and i can't see where to restore them!

The colours haven't disappeared as such, the option to have them at all has gone from customise.

This is not an improvement. It is an abomination.

I want two things. Both of which I had until today and neither of which are grabby, demanding things:

1. I want to choose when I watch a thread. I do not want to be opted in as the default. I realise that I can customise this option but the result of doing said customisation resulted in my second request. Namely:
   

1. I want my colours back.
