Mobile site still freezing on my phone

Just gave it a break for a week hoping that most of the shitness would have been ironed out, tried it again, tried to post and the site just freezes if I try to post. Endless spinny wheel of loading but no load.

You have made the mobile site unusable for me and thousands others for the past ten days. I mean literally unusable, not just annoyingly crap. What the fucking fuck were you playing at? This mobile site is a total pile of shit. Sorry, but it is. All the crap changes to functionality were bad enough, the knock on effect on the desktop site was annoying, but this is actually unusable. I can't use the desktop site on my mobile as it's too small so I can't use it. Pissed off.

Yes, I probably did mean to be so rude. I might not have been so rude if I had been less cross but to find that after ten days the site was still unusable ( and yes, if I can't post I can't use it) made me really pissed off.
To mnhq, I do apologise for my extraneous swearing if not the sentiment. I still think it was bizarre to roll out a site that had so very many flaws and I'm not sure I accept the excuse that they weren't anticipated, really, testing should have ironed out most of them.
I'm about to test the change to the URL, fingers crossed!

Hi Ehric, thank you. We do understand your frustration.

We did do countless rounds of testing and with many users of varying types on lots of different devices but unfortunately there were some things we didn't anticipate and others we couldn't fully uncover until the fuller user base was trying it out. All that said we acknowledge the timing wasn't ideal and we could have more responsive in the first 24 hours. We've taken a hard look at our processes internally and we have made changes to make sure that won't happen again.

We do want to continue involving mumsnetters as much as possible though both in our testing and prototypes which means we will continue to iterate and ask for feedback and our first releases are unlikely to be the finished product as such.

Thank you for sticking by us Thanks

Aha!

So what was the problem? Why were we m.mumsnet rather than www.mumsnet?

soddinghormones · 30/08/2014 23:41

Just checking I can actually post now Hmm

soddinghormones · 30/08/2014 23:42

A-ha ... Yes I can Smile

Oodlives · 31/08/2014 06:52

Argh I now hit a new problem. Having to keep changing the address to www. Rather than m. When I want to post.
