Woman's Hour is 10 am each weekday morning, and there's a selection on a weekend programme, don't remember time. Will have to Listen Again to Friday's before next Friday. I listened regularly when I was on maternity leave, the best days were when ds was asleep for a lot of it and I could mn at the same time!

Lilymaid, I had the "Kenny & Cash - on London!" jingle in my head when I wrote that

My dad (v middle-aged & conservative, & he was only in his mid-forties) used to sneer about Dave Cash's "mid-Atlantic accent"

"but he's Canadian, Dad!"

"no he isn't"

(oh, OK, you know best )

i know ken bruce is irritating in every single facet of his personality! (especially his 'witty' banter with Sally Traffic) but something about having him on in the background makes me feel all safe (god i am so sad), I also get quite competitive about popmaster.

Woman's hour is mid morning I usually miss it due to work but they do a weekend round up too. Of course you can listen again on the bbc ws.
Usually very good and varied.

Well, yes, I do hate the "Professional Person from a Region" a la Fred Macaulay, too.

i spose, but ken, we do know your're scottish!

Bah. Try living in Scotland and being constantly bombarded by casual refs to little bits of London...

threadworm - Kenneth Williams was so much a part or JAM during my formative years that a colleagues 'Minute Waltz' ringtone immediately made me think of his voice.

ken bruce gets a bit tiresome with the scottish references though

Hurrah!

Not much of a TV person but can't manage without R4.

favourite radio programmes :
danny baker (london), adam and joe(6), radcliffe and maconie(2) and ken bruce (don't know why, like wearing comfy old slippers).

I really miss john peel, home truths. Most radio in our house is drowned out by cbeebies, and dd1 asking for her songs (springwatch theme, nellie the elephant etc).

WW - I used to listen to Kenny Everett on Radio London too - Kenny and Cash with Dave Cash! Very much a Radio 4 listener now, though.

Hello fellow audiophiles

Has any one else noticed that Five Live has unaccountably become detached from the rest of the BBC stations in the DAB lineup? Or is it just my ancient digi radio?

Oh, I used to listen to KE on (pirate) Radio London - he was wonderful!
