only 8 weeks pg, normal tops too small and riding up but maternity tops are too saggy round the tummy. I think i need a couple of maternity wrap tops that i can adjust throughout the pregnancy. Anyone know where you can get some that you can actually adjust and not just looks like a wrap?

I got a top from New Look that was a wrap- they do maternity in some shops now. Can't remember the price, but wasn't much compared to Blooming Marvellous and JJMMBB. It was last season though, haven't been in to see what they have now. Looking on the website, here when you search for your local shop it says if it does maternity (wow, an unusually useful function! wish all shops did that!) and you can see the range on the website. I can't see a wrap top, but they do seem to have things that might look ok even if roomy to start off with- it won't be long before everything explodes for you!
Good luck

mad4 - yes it's all the same top - just showing how it can be wrapped differently I suppose. I usually do something like the first pic - I always wear a cami underneath.

blooming marvellous cardigans are fab - yo can wear them where yo not preggers too

here

also this light cardi is good with a vest underneath

i wore the last one in mid summer with a light vest (hennes) while massively pregnany with ds and felt fine as cardi so light

not a fan of all the BM stuff but these are good, otherwsie try jojomamanbebe, mamasandpapas. crave is lush (but pricey)

wrap shirt from mamasandpapas

I have a 'bamboo yoga' breastfeeding top with ties which is great, although I have to admit I only wear it at home at the moment. Also although I'm 28 wks pg I still find my pre-preg size is too roomy, so if I were buying from them again I would go for a size smaller.

scroll down for 'bamboo relaxation long sleeved top' I usually tie mine tighter than the model does in the picture, so it hugs the bump rather than hanging down.

I have been keeping an eye on the IO tops on Ebay but haven't bought any. Interesting what has been said about wearing a vest underneath though, I feel hot enough at the best of times and don't especially want to spend June and July sweltering in various layers - but I hate the baggy voluminous look that comes with most maternity clothes.

I have 3 isabella oliver tops which have kept me going throughout - you can usually pick up one on ebay for less? i usually wear a vert top under though as the boobs would be pornographic otherwise...

Mamas and papas do some really nice 3/4 sleeve wrap around cardies, about £28
All diff colours. Very comfy with a vest underneath

IO ones are poor imo

you end up wrapped like a mummy with flob falling out the gaps.

Yes - thanks Franke, I might pop into Seraphine on Thursday and pick one of these up, I rather like that!

I have two from JoJoMamanBebe and they're very adjustable although as Slinkie says a lot of fabric. Quite a lot cheaper than IO, about £29 I think. They do short sleeved & 3/4 sleeved ones in various colours (the peacock colour is absolutely gorgeous btw).

I have this one from Seraphine. You can adjust how you wrap it as you get bigger.

Isabella Oliver does quite a few styles like this but there will be a lot of material if you are 8 weeks - mine (from last time) are still a bit roomy at 17.
