Old wives tale

Is there any truth - anecdotally speaking - to the old wives tale that you get more severe sickness etc if you're carrying a girl?

Every old wives tale is rubbish, every pregnancy, conception and labour is different.
But I did have lemon addiction with both of my girls!

Two girls and and never actually was sick once! Nausea and aversion to food but that's it. And it was worse with my first. No correlation I think.

I didn’t even have a hint of nausea with my DD so I’d say it’s rubbish!

I was more ill with my daughter, but there are loads of other reasons this could have been due to. I was a couple of years older, I had another child to look after instead of just myself.

It hasn't been true for me. I feel much worse this time than last time. I had a girl first and now having a boy.

Horrendous sickness here and having a boy. Also most of the old wives tales for having a girl have happened to me and BabyDoor is most definitely a boy. Could got have got a clearer picture of his testicles at the scan. Sonographer came across them straight away he seems to have been totally happy to show them off to us.

I had very little and had two girls.

I had sickness at least once a day for about 8 weeks with DS.
Pregnant with a girl now (NHS scan plus private scan to double check) and I've had no sickness at all and I'm 28 weeks tomorrow.
So I think it's rubbish.

It a load of old bollocks. It depends on how your body reacts to pregnancy and every one is different.

I had non with either pregnancy. Both girls.

I've never heard it but dare say it's wrong from the amount of sicky pregnancies I know about where they had boys lol

I don't reckon so. I had horrendous sickness with each of my three pregnancies, and each time I was carrying a boy. It started earlier and lasted longer with each pregnancy too.
