What food makes you happy at the moment?

I am 10+3 and feel a constant nagging nausea. Despite this my brain keeps telling me that eating will make me feel better. I seem to spend ages every day looking in the fridge and cupboards for something to take my fancy and often end up with marmite on toast or scrambled eggs on toast.

When I do find something I REALLY fancy, I get quite excited Grin. At the moment I love granola with chopped banana and Greek yogurt. This is quite good for me as in previous pregnancies I had a hankering for hot sausage rolls!

What everyone else is enjoying at the moment? I am hoping it might give me some inspiration?

tiggery I've found tesco sour strawberry laces really hit the spot. Also sainsbury's fizzy fangs are pretty good.

I'm craving sherbet fountains 24/7

Loved fizzy sweets in first trimester. Now 34+1 and it's all about the chocolate shreddies. I have the plain ones in work though which are good but not quite the same.

I am not the person to ask that question Lou13e as I have always struggled with porridge even though I know it is so good for you. The only porridge I can happily eat and haven't tried since pregnant is Dorset cereals porridge with dried raspberries and pumpkin seeds in it. It is really lovely. If I make flapjacks I often substitute some of the plain oats for a couple of sachets of this and they are delicious as long as I don't burn them! Smile

It's porridge for me, it's all I want to eat, that and cheese.... Am now combining the two in my head... That would be wrong wouldn't it...?

You do have my sympathies Cloud and Reebok. I can't imagine how awful that must feel. Just going about the day in a normal way must be so hard. I really hope it gets better for you soon.

There definitely seems to be a carbs (especially potato), cheese and (if you are lucky) fruit theme. I really struggled with the thought of eating cheese but have started eating a bit again. I do like cheese on toast though.

I was naughty today as I bought a sandwich form M&S rather than making one. It was Coronation chicken and was just what I needed. Now stuffing my face with grapes again. Are too many grapes bad for you?

I have hyperemesis so struggling daily to find things I can keep down let alone like to eat. Pineapple ice lollies seem to help.

God, bloody nothing. Everything makes me feel sick. But not eating makes it worse. I want to love food again!! I don't remember it being this bad first time round. Only thing I'm completely fine with is orange Lucozade. Probably should ingest more than that though...

21 weeks here; I've been craving fruit since the start, which I don't normally eat that much of. Also toast, peanut butter and jam sandwiches, yogurt, milk - mostly relatively bland carby things. I went off food for a while, anything that smelled too strong really turned my stomach. Feel a bit like I'm getting back to normal now!

I'm swinging between extreme nausea and hunger. It's awful. Need to eat, feel sick, need to eat, feel sick.

I had potato waffles, cheese and coleslaw yesterday at 9.50am. It was bliss.

Soft mints have kept nausea at bay a bit.

Cheeeeese, lovely lovely cheese! It was the only think that stopped the nausea between 11 and 16 weeks, I used to carry them little snack packs or babybel around with me constantly. Even now the nausea has gone I still look forward to cheese on toast for my daily treat!

I pretty much live on potato at the moment. Also cheese. Preferably potato and cheese together!

Ooh Junosmum I like those as well, also the chocolate flavour! I might have to get some as a little sweet treat Grin

Icantthink sorry you have felt so awful. I do think I am lucky that at least I haven't actually been sick despite feeling generally crappy. It must be so hard to not be able to eat anything and must be a relief when you do find something you can stomach even if it is prawn crackers.

I wish I craved fruit Toffee. I couldn't think about it for a while but it is slowly creeping back into my diet. Well, I say slowly, I did nearly eat a whole punnet of grapes yesterday Blush

Oh wow Spacefrog that must have been really good. If lots of people read this thread they will end up with queues of pregnant ladies desperate for something tasty. I have never been to Wagamamas but I feel like I should give it a try.

Hi Twllbach. We are so close! Smile. Isn't frustrating! I just feel like I am eating for the sake of it but I cant seem to stop. I am sure my bottom has doubled in size already

I had a really good tea tonight (roasted veg in tomato and basil sauce with pasta and lots of Parmesan) and there was enough left for lunch tomorrow. I cant believe I am looking forward to it already! Blush

10 + 4 here and I've been doing exactly the same. Eating because I'm convinced I'll find something that makes me feel better but it doesn't, so I'll eat something else. Then I'm too full and feel sick anyway...

Went to Wagamamas at the weekend and had their coconut seafood broth. I've been really struggling with finding foods that tastes nice. It was so lovely I started crying in the middle of it Confused

Decaf Pumpkin Spice latte from Starbucks literally made my day :D

First trimester it was mass quantities of melon and pineapple. But not pineapple juice, bleurgh.

So much nice food!

MrsGently not long to go! Good luck with everything and enjoy your Refreshers!

Notfrom I had to google those, they look good Smile

Jasmine that made me laugh (sorry) but that is exactly like me. I ate a fish finger sandwich yesterday because I thought it was what I fancied. Turns out it wasn't really even though I ate it all. I then had to go and find some cheese and biscuits and something sweet because I felt let down by my lunch. I then felt like a barrel for the rest of the day and decided that I must have a light tea to make up for my lunchtime excess. By the time DP comes in from work though I am starving again!

Seriously, how am I supposed to not put on weight in the first trimester? Confused
