Love the new name Getorf, and look forward to more classic threads as you shag ttc.

Been offline all morning and all I could think of was how to sneak away and log on.

Does Reality have a thread yet? Mindee should be asleep by now?

Hello GetOrf - I've been here with the rest of the world Mumsnet, cheering you on Grin

So excited you've decided to TTC - I am currently up-duffed with child #2, and will be 32 imminently...
you've got time for loads more yet :)

For what it's worth, I am with those advising you don't count your non-chickens just yet - this time round I also had been symptom spotting, but when it was the real thing it was achy bosoms that signalled that we had a bullseye!

Good luck - hope it doesn't take too long.

Grin minnie - what a mad dream!

I have just been on the ovulation calendar on MN. My dates vary wildly but I put in my approximate last date of period, and it said my fertile time was at end dec/beg January (fits in with drunk NYE shagging expoilts) but that me period is not due til 17th Jan.

But I don't know how reliable those things are, it said that is only really reliable for a regular cycle. And I don't kow what the hell a luteal phase is so I just made that bit up.

So - will see if I come on Tuesday. This whole thread could have been avoided Grin

Last night I dreamt that GOML, Reality and maybe SOH - it's hard to say, seeing as I don't actually know what any of you look like!) - were playing golf all together with your respective partners. Then we all went out drinking in Cheltenham but you dumped me and I saw some girls from sixth form who were bitchy to me.

Clearly a) I have spent too long on this thread and
b) I have deeper rejection/acceptance ishoos than I thought!!

no wonder your DP tells you off for being rude Shock

(you have to talk to BaroqueAroundTheClock about this too - apparently Organists are very geeky rude and think it's really funny that their instrument has innuendo )

I keep trying to tell him that I am by no means the worst but he is outraged nonetheless.

I know your fetishes shared marital interests are harmless, but whenever you write the word 'organ' it always seems to be in some context that could be taken the wrong way by immature smutty minded types.Grin

My DP definitely doesn't get MN humour at all. He is outraged, embarrassed and threatened in equal measure about my user name. Tough, I say.

Getorf, I think I have enjoyed this thread more than any I can remember for a long time. Hope it goes into Classics.

Stay as Getorf though, I too have this image of you being Clarissa, but I'll do my best to get over that. Grin

Oh that's better. I know people have a mental image of me being a braying 50 something sitting my tweed clad rear on a shooting stick with this name, but so be it.

I told DP last night I changed my name to piss on a stick. He looked Shock and said' won't they judge you for swearing?'

Lol at 'will they judge' (I mean this is mumsnet, this is what we do) and also lol at the him thinking we don't swear.

I know this is purely anecdotal evidence. But I got a BFN 3 days after my period was due in October and let me tell you that it certainly wasn't accurate! If you've still got fizzers, I'd definitely do another one in a few more days. Happy shagging in the meantime!

'Looking at organ music on youtube.' I just can't help feeling deeply cynical and uncomfortable about at statement. It sounds vaguely abnormal.

Yes POMS, I think you should go back to GOML for the time being. You can change back to POMS whenever you are, indeed, about to POAS. (I assume you will do the right thing by informing us immediately and not go off and do it in secret.)

You might start to feel a bit pressurised being POMS long-term, and people who haven't read this thread and tuther one (is there anyone on God's earth not following this? Confused) will keep asking you if you are PG. Twill get to be a pain.
