At the same time as giving their feedback on this thread, testers completed a survey on their experience of testing the Morrisons nappies with their child.

84% would recommend the New Baby Nappies, 83% would recommend the Ultra Dry Nappies and 85% would recommend the Ultra Dry Pants to a friend or family member, therefore Morrisons Nutmeg nappies and pants have been awarded the Mumsnet Rated badge.

This is the feedback thread for the Mumsnet users who have been testing nappies or pull up pants from the Morrisons ‘Nutmeg’ range.

Testers trialled Nutmeg New Baby Nappies, Nutmeg Ultra Dry Nappies or Nutmeg Ultra Dry Pants.

I was lucky enough to be able to trial nutmeg nappies size 4 on my 8 month old baby boy and was suitably impressed with them! Not only were the nappies great for my baby's sensitive skin ( causing no nappy rash ) , the nappies didn't just look good - they kept my aby nice and dry too! I monitored for a few days and consistently found no leakage oof wee of poop during the day whilst my baby- boy wriggled and crawled about all over the place and even more impressively, this durability extended to the night time slot too - where the nappy had no leaks after an 8 hour sleep spell!

The nutmeg nappies are soft which is perfect for my baby's skin and they stay firmly stay on once sealed. Furthermore, they look great, with their fresh white colour and unisex colour bursts of blue and lilac and are clearly labelled with the words front and back so there was no confusion when putting them on. Additionally, the size of the nappy ( I tried size 4 ) is clearly printed on the nappy so that was a very nice feature! When looking after my baby boy my major concern is leaving my little one drenched in urine or having foul odours coming from his nappy however, I didn't need to be concerned about that whilst using nutmeg ultra - dry nappies because they kept my baby dry throughout the day and the long night spell with no leakage.

My baby boy is 8 months and a wriggler so its hard to get him to stay still. When wearing the nappies he didn't seem to be itchy or uncomfortable so I feel like he really enjoyed his experience of wearing the nappies.

The nappies are great all round however, I would make two small improvements. Firstly, there is no seal to roll up and easily dispose of the nappies so that would be a welcome addition. Also, some nappy brands have a yellow line which helps detect urine from afar without having to remove the nappy, something that nutmeg ultra dry nappies didn't seem to have, which again would have been a welcome feature!

I would certainly recommend morrissons nutmeg ultra dry nappies to family, friends and colleagues. Not only do they look good and offer great value for money at just £4.50 for up to 84 nappies, they are soft, non - bulky, sensitive on the skin and do what they say on the packet meaning that nutmeg nappies keep my baby ultra dry day and night which for me is a win win all round!

I tested the size 6 ultra dry nappies, they are an ok fit, daytime performance good, over night performance found they didn’t hold so much compared to the brand I usually use.

We tested size 2 nappies, they were good on the dryness front but leaked a lot as I found them very small for size 2 compared to other brands.

We tested size 6 ultra dry pants. They’re great for daytime and night time. No leaks, good coverage, great fit. My DD is a heavy wetter so she wears bigger nappies than her drier twin brother. The Nutmeg ultra dry pants kept her dry for over 12 hours at night and they didn’t leak which has been a regular occurrence in other brands.

1. What did you like about the Nutmeg nappies?
   

The pants are high waisted and seem to fit very comfortably. No complaints from DD in terms of comfort. Really easy to get on and off and did the job of keeping her (and her clothes) dry.

1. How did your child feel wearing the Nutmeg nappies?
   

DD seemed very comfortable. No complaints or discomfort. She would probably let me know if she was wet or itchy. The pants appear to be very flexible and stretchy in the thick waistband and maybe wider across the bum than some competitors which is a better fit for my DD (otherwise she gets a wedgie).

1. If you could change or improve anything about the Nutmeg nappies, what would that be and why?
   

The pants did their job and kept dd dry at night (more than 12 hours) and frankly that’s all I need them to do. If I was being really picky I’d say they could feel a little softer but I imagine that’s a luxury I’d be willing to forgo if they are as good value as I’d expect them to be.

Yes without a doubt. There’s no hesitancy from me to recommend these pants. I would definitely buy them in future if they’re good value (I have twins who each wear different size nappies day and night so value is important but I’m willing to pay for them to sleep through without a nappy change!!).

I had the size 6 to try. They seemed to fit fine at the wait but I found too narrow at the back for my child’s bum. This might be why they leaked (but only at night).

We tested the size 5 nappies. Although it fot well it was unable to stand the test of leakage. We experienced leakages on more than half of the nappies we tested.

We tested size 2 newborn nappies and found they performed very well, we had no episodes of leakage and generally fit very well with him being only a couple of weeks old at the time, the nappy was never on longer than 2-3 hrs but found his skin to be well protected.

We had size 5 nappy pants. They fit DD well, though are smaller than the other brands of nappies we normally buy and she’s at the lower end of the weight range that are generally for that size.

1. What did you like about the Nutmeg nappies? When they arrived, DD asked to wear them over the other brand of nappies we use, so she was happy with them. Very happy with the sticky tab to roll them up with after changing.

1. Size 4 pull ups. The pull ups were a great fit with the all round elastic allowing for a snug but comfortable fit at the waist and leg. The design was nice and the nappies weren’t too bulky. We didn’t experience any overnight leaks.
   

1. I liked the tape at the back to be able to wrap up the soiled nappy securely. The design was nice and neutral and they were folded and packaged well so were easy to store.
   

1. My child seemed comfortable in these nappies and they didn’t look too bulky. He liked the elastic waist as this gave him a bit more autonomy in pushing down and pulling up his own nappy.
   

1. Perhaps a more recognisable character/animals on the design with two or more designs. My child is at times reluctant to put a nappy on after a soiled nappy and offering him the opportunity to choose which design he wants helps him feel he has more control.

• nutmeg new baby nappies, the first around the leg seemed slack compared to other brands I've used in the same size and although my baby experienced no leaks I did notice on occasions he would feel wet still and the smell of urine was stronger due to this.

• they were labelled front & back which is handy for less experienced parents, they did the job of keeping everything inside and did last as long between changes as other brands I've used.

• my baby appeared content in these, no redness or rashes, they didn't come loose despite all his movements so that's a good point.

• I'd change firstly the design as it was very stereotypical for a girl, light yellow and pink, I'd also say from my experience they could do with a stronger absorbing material as although there were no leaks sometimes my baby would be damper than in other brands I've tried and the stretch part around the legs appeared looser than on other brands in the same side, however this didn't cause leakage thankfully.

• I wouldn't recommend them because in my opinion I've had better (shops own and branded) however they're not the worst I've tried.

We had ultra dry nappies size 5. They were a bit big for my 8 month old but held up well, especially overnight which I was hoping for as changing her in the night wakes her up.

She felt dry and happy and could move around nicely, she's just starting to crawl.

The design is very plain. The wetness seemed to stay in one place rather than spread out much in the nappy.

I tested the size 4 nappy pants on my 25 month old. They were generally a good fit, but like most pull ups, one side would sometimes end up between her butt cheeks. Perhaps a wider bum area, like regular nappies, would prevent this. We had no leaks day or night and her skin stayed pretty dry, if a bit warm.

I liked the fact they are slim like Pampers rather than bulky like Little Angels nappies. I also like the tab on the back.

I tested the size 6 ultra dry nappies. They fitted well but I found the back of the nappy travelled inwards on 20 month old DD so there was a bit of a danger of leakage where she was hanging out at the back. Skin dryness was fine but I would only use this in the daytime as we had a couple of leaks at night.

The fit round the waist was spot on - not too tight but also not saggy even after DD had run around playing in them.

She was quite happy. I received no complaints. She has quite sensitive skin but there was no sign of nappy rash in these.

I would improve the fit at the back so there's no gaping.

Yes but probably as daytime only nappies.
