I have two. I told a friend totally out of the blue that Michael Jackson would be dead six weeks from now, he was. I pointed at the screen and told a friend whilst watching Loose Women that Linda Bellingham would die soon of cancer.
I dunno why i felt compelled to say those things but i felt i needed to.

No criticising, hairsplitting or arguing pleae.

Be brave and tell. :)

Mines not that good but...

I once caught a fly between my forefinger and thumb. It was flying around the room and I just reached up and pinched it out of the air. Was so weird. I've told a few people but I'm sure they didn't believe me.

I have been run over twice. The first time by an articulated lorry, my incredibly fat gran dived on top of me and took the weight of the wheel. She never recovered from her injuries, I meanwhile did not have a scratch.

Name changing regular here:

Dh and I were quite old when it came to ttc our second child and as I didn't fall pregnant at the drop of a hat first time, we charted ovulation etc quite carefully. I really wanted to actually have my second baby while I was still 40, rather than in my early 40s. But despite careful planning and a lot of effort, nothing happened for 6 months. And then, with impeccable timing, it so transpired that my last chance to conceive and have a baby before turning 41 was over Christmas, which would mean dtd at in-laws house as we were going there for Christmas.

Now in-laws live in a miniscule 2 bedroom cottage, with the beds literally next to each other and a thin wall between them. And we had our toddler in the room with us in a travel cot, so no way was I going to dtd "live" as it were.

So I bought a turkey baster from Debenhams (it was Christmas remember) and dh provided me with a sample, once on Christmas Eve morning and once on Boxing Day morning, and I did the rest by myself in inlaws downstairs bathroom.

Our child was born the following September, 10 days before my 41st birthday Grin.

The weird thing is that I just "knew" it was going to work as I queued at the till to pay for that turkey baster.

I once told this story on Mumsnet and a well-known poster described me as a "shitty troll", charming.

I have one i've told here before on the woo threads.

IRL i've only told family and my closest friend and they say they believe me but ... hmm, i'm not sure. Not sure i'd believe someone telling me this.

Anyway - i was totally alone in part of a primary school building at 5pm ish on a sunny afternoon. Quickly walking through an open plan classroom to get something from next door i noted a lot of toys and belongings which had been left lying round a carpet area and under the coat racks. Didn't stop, but muttered to myself about needing a tidy up.

20 seconds later (literally seconds later, with the whole place still in deserted silence) i returned through the messy classroom and all the stuff from on the floor was in a tower. Perfectly balanced in the middle of the carpet. I felt it was done for me some how by some thing. Wasn't scared at the time, God knows why! Scares me now to think of it.

Every Time an immediate member of my family is pregnant Dm or one of my sister's and now me 3 people we know one way or another die , Happened with each of my Dms pregnancies (8 of them) & now two relatives have died within a week of each other and I'm 21 weeks pregnant .

An old one from my Dnan -

When she were 4 her Df died and a year after they had booked tickets to go back home (cleethorpes) to see family they were to Travel from Sheffield by Train this was about 65 years ago the night before my great grandma (a very cynical woman) had a dream that her dp was sat at the bottom of her bed & told her she musnt travel the next day no matter what , the next morning she talked it through with the family and they decided to Travel the next day instead as something didn't feel right , Anyway later in the day their was a radio announcement that the Train they were supposed to be on had been in an accident just after leaving the station the Tunnel had collapsed and their were no survivors

Dm was once walking my older sister in a park in London (i forget the name) anyway she were two yo and a Boy kicked a football at her on purpose , the boys mother ran over and apologized profusely - turns out it was Prince William that had kicked the ball & Princess Diana was the one that were apologizing

A large black panther once chased my greyhound across a field.

Years ago I knew my grandad had died. He lived 50 miles away and had a clock which struck a funny tune every hour. I was a teen and with my mum at our home and I heard the t e clear as anything. Mum didnt seem to hear anything and I said to her that grandad had died. The phone rang five minutes later to say he'd just died.

Oh and a non woo one.

About eight years ago Me and dd accidently gate crashed a posh lunch with Prince Charles, William and Harry. Was a buffet and wine and mingling type thing in a marquee. I was in the wrong place and didnt realise. Walked in, there was someone on the door but she just helped me with the buggy.

I realised and was so embarrassed. Legged it. Confessed to the lady on the door who admitted they hadn't been expecting anyone with a toddler.

I could have been a suicide bomber! Can't believe how close I got to them with no security.

The Flixborough ones have really freaked me out for some reason Shock

I have a few odd stories:

  1. On holiday in a warm, sunny place and I startled awake during the night. I didn't know what had woken me but I couldn't get back to sleep. Despite it being very warm, I started shivering and shaking, and feeling very upset. The next morning I felt I had to phone home because something bad had happened. My aunt had died during the night.

  2. One day I was getting a taxi home and the taxi driver told me she was a medium and had a message for me. She described the woman it was from, and said they were very close to my DM. I didn't recognise the description but called DM to tell her. She said it was one of her best friends.( I'd only ever known her friend as an older woman and the taxi driver had described her as she was when she went dancing with my mum.) The message and the details totally convinced my DM that it was from her friend Shock

  3. I think the strangest things I've ever experienced have been at my DSIS' house. One night, I decided to stay over, and my DSIS said I could sleep in my niece's room as she was going out for the night and was supposed to be staying at friends. During the night, I woke up with the bed moving as though someone had sat on the end of it. I thought it was my niece but when I looked there was no-one there. When I told my DSIS in the morning, she admitted they had lots of strange happenings in that room. Another day, myself and DSIS were in her back garden, facing the house when we both saw a figure at the window (again in my niece's room). We thought she'd come back unexpectedly but she hadn't. There was no-one in the house and no curtains at the window to create a shadowy outline.

I may have told this on here before. My DN was 3 and he was at home with SIL around 8am. He wandered into the kitchen and told SIL he wouldn't be going to nursery as they wouldn't be able to get the car out. He also said he was going to sit by the window to see the helicopter. She didn't take much notice. About 40 minutes later SIL heard an almighty bang from outside (they live in a rural area) and there had been a head on collision between 2 cars. The emergency vehicles blocked their driveway and the air ambulance landed in the field behind their house.

Woohoo you have just reminded me of another!!

In my teens I did part time Au Pair work while in 6th form. Went downstairs to collect child from The Mum who had a bunch of friends round for a psychic medium reading. While in the basement kitchen with about 6 women the chap turned up and walked through to other room. He turned and saw a set of keys on a chair and said out loud "whoever owns those keys I want you to know your father is here tonight and wants you to keep an open mind"

They were my keys.
My father died when I was very young.

I was then encouraged to have a reading and almost everything he told me came true.

Number of children
Number of letters in DH name
Where I would end up living

I rack my brain trying to think if this mans name but cannot remember. I now live 200 miles away from where I grew up but would drive back in a heartbeat to have another reading.

I have a weird one.

I was out jetsking on a double jet ski in Wales with my mum. It was getting late and all of a sudden our jetski stopped (it had been playing up). We sat and waited for my Dad on the beach to realise we were missing and send help.

All of a sudden a large buoy which are usually anchored to the sea floor started moving towards us at a terrific speed, against the tide!!! Think the Jaws film when they tag the shark and it swims away. We were screaming and frantically paddling to move out of it's way before it hit us. It then went into the distance. 5 minutes later and it was whizzing towards us again in the opposite direction as before. Cue more screaming and paddling. This time we paddled towards a sandbank. The buoy went off into the distance and out of sight. We hit the sandbank and waited. A few minutes later a huge head popped up at the side of the jetski! It was the biggest seal you had ever seen. My mum panicked, tried to get off the jetski and sunk into the sandbank past Her knees. I managed to drag her out with strength I didn't know I had.

We were hysterical when we were rescued and no one believed what had happened. We still can't explain it.

not woo at all, but I remember being in my boyfriends room when I was about 16 or 17. There was a dartboard on the wall, and I never played before, or much since (because I'm rubbish and can't throw a dart to save myself) anyway, decided to have a go, threw the first dart which landed dead centre of the bullseye. really chuffed, no one around to show (think everyone else out, then boyfriend in the shower) so decided to throw another dart. This one landed right in the back of the first dart in the middle of the wee plastic things Grin I was bloody delighted, only the weight of the two pulled them out the dartboard. I'm sure my boyfriend never believed me Angry

We moved into a house in 1999 that had a swing that was anchored into the low garden wall. We guessed it had been there a while because it was quite rusty. Four years later me dm and dsis were on a train to London (we live in Derbyshire) and the man behind the food counter said he used to live in our town. Then he said our street name. Then he mentioned our house number! Turns out his family had lived there since the house was built post war till mid 80s! He said the swing was as old as the house and was surprised it hadn't disintegrated!

Ooh there's a few Diana ones here I see, glad its not just me!

I dreamt she was in our bath at home, naked, lovingly bathing a baby. Woke up the next morning to the news of the crash in which she died.

I have a couple

I predicted/'knew' the deaths of 3 relatives and 4 celebrities before they were announced. I also 'knew' when 4 friends were going to give birth and said to them when I saw them 'you'll have that baby on x day' I'm getting a bit of a reputation in my family now Blush

Many years ago I was on the train to work and got a phone call from a cousin I never see and didn't realise had my number calling to check I was ok. I was, it was 8am let me go back to my coffee...minutes later my then partner rings to say they had been run off their bike by a driver without insurance and were on their way to hospital

My SIL looked after DS1 when I went into hospital to have DS2. Next day, SIL asked me what time DS2 had been born. DS1, normally a very sound sleeper, had woken up crying at the exact time his brother was born in the early hours of the morning.
