You might be, I bled for 2 months out of a 14 week pregnancy before miscarriage, passing large clots every 7-14 days, later I found I had a blood clotting disorder and perhaps if I had taken aspirin I might have saved the baby and saved myself months of grief. Ask doctor about baby aspirin - get tested even if you are pregnant. Noone told me about aspirin till it was too late.

I just started part 5 so you can join me on the new thread. I've kept the list as per everyone's wishes and I updated myself to the treatment section as I am testing at St. Mary's, but I don't know what will be found.

Happy Bank holiday!

Lola I am sorry you are going through this - I wish I could practise what I preach, but try to be positive. I hope everything works out fine.

hairy I can't believe you haven't been referred to a rmc after 3 miscarriages. I would write a letter of complaint too if I were in your position. I've realised after a few years that the NHS only listen when you start demanding care.

Hi lily, sorry for what you have been through - I am sure there is someone here with high prolactin - I can't remember who. I hope this thread proves invaluable to you, as it has been for me.

Thank You lucky I had suspected I was lacking in vitamin D, as I avoid the sun like the plague, but didn't realise I was that low on it. Even if you haven't had the tests yet, I recommend just going to boots and getting a supplement until you get the results, as vitamin D blood tests take about 2 weeks to process.

I too will wait another few months before being moved to the pregnancy section - like lucky said it will be on there a long time, and I'm scared too!

Lola So sorry the start of this pregnancy has started as it has but theres no reason why it should be the end, try and stay positive bleeding is not always a bad sign. Keeping fingers crossed for you.

Milky hope you had a good holiday and congratulations. The Vit D result is v.interesting and I'm abit scared now as I never went for the test - my consultant told me not to but my GP said I could go into the surgery any time and be tested for vitamin deficiency if I want. I might do that next week! Good that your karyotyping came back clear, I too was shocked when I got the news of the sex of our baby, I specifically asked for them to find out but was completely knocked back when we found out he was a boy.

Lily welcome to the thread sorry you've been through a bad time.

Hairy Good idea to write a letter you don't get anywhere in this situation without shouting loud and asking for help/answers. Its just disgusting really!

I don't think I dare go on the pregnancy section yet as it will be staying on a long time if all goes wrong. Sorry, I'm just too scared!

Lola keeping everything crossed for you.

I've decide to write a letter of complaint to the hospital.

laparoscopy was booked in november but I became pregnant again and now they are refusing, despite three mmc and symptoms of endometriosis and no flow in right tube at hycosy plus quite bad mid cycle pain . I feel rather angry at that. Also no referral to rmc clinic... Just a gynae consultant dealing with me. Aibu!?

Lola I too hope it will turn out to be nothing to worry about - as someone who bled with 3 mc but also with ds I just think you can't tell.
Digitalgirl just to say the tests carried out on my last baby did not reveal the sex, though obviously they must've been able to tell - but the letter they sent did not tell me.

Oh Lola, I have everything crossed for you. Digital's right, it may just be implantation. I do hope so.

Lily, I'm sorry I can't help with your questions but wish you the best of luck.

Hello, can I join in here? I'm already on the TTC after MC thread, but have a few questions that I'm hoping you ladies may be able to help me with.

Very quick background: ectopic in Jan last year, emergency surgery and lost right tube, followed by MC in April (poss ectopic). Went for tests in June onwards and have low progesterone and very high prolactin. Had MRI to rule out tumor, and now currently on my third month of Clomid and just started taking Bromocriptine to try and lower prolactin levels.

Does anyone else on here have high prolactin? Are you being treated for it? The bromocriptine has made me so tired, even taking it just before I go to bed I feel like I've been hit by a sledgehammer when I wake up. My GP was also a bit surprised that I'm taking the two drugs in combination as she's never seen that before. They've been prescribed by two different consultants, but the one that prescribed the bromocriptine knows I'm on clomid and is quite happy about it, so GP is happy to follow his lead. Would just very interested to hear anyone else's experience.

Thanks

Lola can you call your epu and have a scan on Monday? Could be implantation. I know after 4 mc's, you know your own body but I do hope the pink cm doesn't lead to anything more. Thinking of you.

Lucky That's great news about your scan, very positive.

Milkyway Whispering congratulations to you.

To the ladies on prednisolone, I don't have any personal experience of being on that drug but my husband takes it for his arthritis. He had to stop his methotrexate treatment 3 months before we started ttc, in may last year, and started steroid treatment last August once the metho had worn off. He has coped well on it, I noticed a bigger appetite and he now doesn't mince his words if he isn't happy with something - which can be funny and at times slightly embarrassing too!

Things seem ok with me so far. On constant knicker-watch but then that is normal for rmc ladies. I managed to cope quite well at my sister's wedding on Thurs (she is 4 months preg) but glad it's over now.
I did a CB digital test this morning and it came up with pregnant and 3+ pretty quick, which I've not had before, so hoping that is a a good sign.

Hoping all you other ladies are doing well too.

Thank You havingkittens and digital. I will be going out and buying vit D3 today. I didn't realise that it was something that was being actively prescribed to women suffering from recurrent miscarriages.

digital I am pleased the karyotyping came back normal, as I feel that a genetic problem would be harder to treat, or even untreatable, whereas something wrong with my biochemistry can easily be sorted out. There was an initial shock as I was reading the letter that my baby was a girl - had to read it a few times for it to register. If you don't want to know the sex, then just phone up your GP or consultant and ask for them not to tell you in the letter - I am sure they will understand.

Agreed! the dress was lovely - simple and elegant :)

milkyway tentative congrats from me too! I really hope it works out this time. Hope you get your Vit D injection soon. I also take 25microg of Vit D3. Are you pleased the karyotyping came back normal?

I'm also waiting for my results on that. It hadn't occurred to me I'd find out the sex. I sort of don't want to know. I've been coping by not really humanising the baby from my last miscarriage. But knowing the sex will change all that. I can't stand the thought that my body rejected a little girl or a little boy. But I guess I'll just have to deal with that.

iggi good luck with your appointment.

coconuts hope the hg has stayed away.

I'm 9dpo, temps are slowly beginning to drop so only a few more days to go till I'm officially in my ttc cycle. It's been over 7 weeks since the erpc, funny how time goes quickly and slowly at the same time.

On another topic - Wasn't the dress lovely!

Hello, good to see positive scan and hpt results. Maybe we're on a roll?!
One week to go till my appointment in London, getting nervous. Got my actual results sent to me so have that to show him.
Hope everyone is ok.

Milkyway tentative congratulations! I just wanted to come on and say that my vit D levels were 16 and they recommended I take 25 ug of Vit D3 (has to be 3, not 2!) so you might want to go and get some of those whilst you're waiting for your appointment for the injection just to be sure you're doing all you can. Both RMC clinics I've been to now, the NHS one and Dr Shehata both actively prescribe Vit D.

Hi all, got back from my long holiday yesterday. I will try to catch up later - I have about 20 pages to read!!

Just a quick update from me - I've been getting a very faint positive since about 2 days now. My period is due in 3 days, so will wait until then to test again. Like the last few times I can't bring myself to be overjoyed or excited, so will see how things go.

As far as treatment goes, I have been on high dose folic acid for about 2 months now, and am also taking CoEnzyme Q and Selenium. I took my first dose of baby aspirin yesterday. Came back to find letters from the hospital telling me that my Vitamin D levels are very low (15) and have been told to make an appointment to get a Vitamin D injection and then get my calcium levels tested a month later. I've tried to do some research into Vitamin D deficiency and recurrent miscarriages, but can't seem to find anything substantial, although my GP did tell me 2 months ago that there has been a link established between Vitamin D deficiency and miscarriages quite recently.

Other tests came back fine - I was pregnant with a little girl who had a normal genetic karyotype.

I hope everyone is doing well, and having a nice bank holiday morning :)

kittens starving hungry with swiss cheese brain Smile you are not painting a very encouraging picture of life on steroids! Looking at my calendar I'm due to start them just before a two week break from work. Probably a good thing too...

My prescription arrived today. Another week till AF, then the guessing game of 'when will I ov?'. Usually it's day 23-25, but am hoping the metformin may shave a few days off like it did with this cycle. So clearly dh will be on swi duty from day 10-26.
