Anyone tried these treatments for cracked heels?

One is called footkiss and another called magic foot exfoliation?

I have shocking cracked heels, have neglected them over the winter and now need to sort them out as fast as poss with as little effort as poss.

What works?

I had a really bad deep crack in my heel, tried scholl heel repair, exfoliating etc, nothing worked. Then someone on here recommended Lansinoh (yes, the nipple cream). Healed in 3 days. It was a miracle.

CCS Heel Balm from Boots is another reallly good one with Urea, works virtually overnight!

I recently bought one of these and it works really well. Mind you the little shavey end is just as effective on feet that have been soaked, rather treated with the gel. I have a quick go when i get out of the shower in the morning, then moisturise,=.

Thanks all - think i will try the pedicure and then the 25% urea cream which I have had recommended before. In the past think i have always given up too soon. there is def an improvement but I never seem to get rid of the deep down cracks.

I googled the fish pedicure thing and found a whole load of stuff about them being an infection risk which put me off.

Something shown to me by a wise old Bedoin lady is liberal application of vaseline and putting your feet into polythene bags over night.
I would try it, but can't bear the idea of sleeping with a couple of carriers on my feet.

I read something on here that for fish-nibbling to be effective you need several sessions..... think creams (and weeing on your own feet) would definitely be a cheaper option.

I have terribly cracked heels at the beginning of every spring and I find the best thing is a good pedicure and then I can keep it under control for the rest of the summer.

I know it may seem expensive but the amount I used to spend of lotions and potions more than covers the cost of a pedi.

I've used Boots Cracked Heel Balm, which has 25% Urea - if you look in your local Boots, you should find all the foot products together, there are several similar creams, Scholl do one too, but they should all have Urea in them. Use it every day, and in two weeks your tootsies will be as smooth as the proverbial baby's bum.

I had problems too and someone recommended This which I have used and it seems to really work. I actually bought mine in argos. Essentially it is a battery powered sander!

Use it to get rid of the excess dry skin, then use a speciality cream like compeed over night. Well it works for me

Try Flexitol and using a foot file. Works miracles. Also when they are a bit better go to a chiropodist and have the hard skin removed.

exfoliation with one of those foot files then really good moisturiser such as neostrata problem dry skin cream. Also I think avoid walking roung in bare feet too much as I think that makes them worse
