I love a good recipe recommendation, so what were the best recipes you tried last year? Links appreciated Grin

I recommended this one on another thread, but James Martin's sausage, radicchio and lemon gnocchi has become a repeat in our house: www.bbc.com/food/recipes/sausage_radicchio_and_03149

The garlicky peanut dressing in this recipe is now my go-to for Asian-inspired salads/cold noodle dishes: www.bonappetit.com/recipe/udon-with-chicken-and-garlicky-peanut-dressing

@maggycool The beef and broccoli recipe is right up my alley! Will give it a go.

Just remembered another one that I found last year and have cooked quite often: www.onceuponachef.com/recipes/greek-shrimp-tomatoes-feta.html

Low prep and I just serve it with some crusty bread to soak up the sauce.

We've just had it on its own o far, Maggy, but I think it would be good with hard boiled eggs and/or some tofu to bulk it out.

@RemusLupinsBiggestGroupie - would you serve anything with this or just on its own? Sounds yum!

This is delish - I chuck in some spinach to bulk it out but this easily does 6 portions for us (and we're not little tummied people!)

Could live on this... We always have it with the suggested option of some king prawns to top it but would be good for veggies too without.

Tried this for the first time this week, the sauce is amazing - double the sauce recipe as you'll want more! So much nicer than one of those little sachets of stir fry sauce. I'd cook the broccoli for a little longer than the minute specified though.

Gado gado from The Green Roasting Tin - I've tweaked it a bit, but the original recipe is really good. My tweaks include warming the sauce through in the dish for the last few minutes, instead of serving it cold on the side.

From Waitrose, cod topped with tartare sauce followed by lemon and pepper breadcrumbs.
So easy, so tasty.

And roasted veg (I use chopped cauliflower, chopped broccoli, carrots, sliced red or orange pepper), sprinkled with turmeric and flaked almonds, drizzled with olive oil. Roasted until as you like them.
Yummy. Half of them don’t make it to the plates and everyone grabs as soon as the try is out of the oven.
I also use the same mixed with feta cheese and pasta as a supper dish or cold with just the feta cheese as a base for a salad.

Sorry, can't do links, but BBC Good Food easy beef and veg stew is fantastic. So easy, ten mins to prep, if that, no browning the meat first. Makes no difference. A one pot wonder. Chuck it all in! Vary your veg to suit. Has been a lifesaver at times!

Posh it up for a DP with dauphinoise, family it up with rice. Great with just crusty bread. Wholesome and healthy.

I also love Jamies easy fish pie for sam reasons. Amazing. But you do have to mash potatoes Sad Grin Ateeny bit more effort required, but no white sauce etc. Very simple.

Both hearty and very nutritious.

That cod recipe looks delicious! I just had a look at Oklava on Amazon and it looks like it has lots of good recipes - I'd never heard of it before.

The cauliflower 'tabbouleh' from Ottolenghi's Simple and the pistachio crusted cod with preserved lemon butter sauce from Oklava. The latter is much simpler to make than it sounds and utterly divine.

Both available online although I have the books.
