My DD is nearly 18 months. Both me and DH work full time so DD goes to nanny and grandads 2 days a week and nursery 1 day, the other 2 days nan comes to our house to look after her.
I'm running out of ideas for things to make for her lunch. Normally I will make a few big batches of things and freeze them in portions to give to nan so she's got a stock of lunches to give to DD. And likewise nan doesn't have to worry about cooking something for DD when she's at our house, its all there for her. To be honest she's not the best of cooks and quite fussy herself so I can imagine her ending up with a cheese buttie everyday if I left it to her.
Only thing is I'm in a major rut. All I seem to make for her is pasta bolognaise, shepherds pie, chicken and mushroom risotto, chilli free chilli con carne. And occasionally she has sausage and mash or left overs from our tea the night before if its something I can easily shove in a pot and in the fridge and can be reheated the next day.
She's not a particularly fussy child, not keen on egg but other than that she'll have a go of anything.
On a weekend I'm happy to make her sandwiches or any other finger type foods for lunch but in the week she needs to have something substantial and easy for nan to warm up.
Any suggestions???
